I'm not 100% sure how to interpret this work so will just say how I feel about it.
The first part of the book depicts a sort of typical NTR/cheating with a fat bastard type of sex scene. This feels like a sex scene that the author is expressing frustration with. Perhaps the scene feels too cliched, simplistic, or has been repeated so many times that it becomes boring and trite. Unfortunately I find this scene to be the most erotically appealing part of the chapter, perhaps to the author's dismay. They certainly show a high level of skill drawing this scene but I believe the overall message of the work is perhaps trying to say that these types of repetitive colour-by-numbers scenarios are more satisfying for the reader than they are for the author to create.
2nd part of the book depicts a bunch of realistic bad endings that a lot of characters are now experiencing. I feel like none of these characters particularly deserve the bad endings they are being served up so I do not find this part very appealing.
3rd part shows the main couple deepening their relationship physically and emotionally, they probably have the best sex between the 2 in the entire 7 chapters here.
Overall I have mixed feeling on this 7-chapter work, a lot of the plot tangents do not resolve satisfactorily and I found the sex scenes between side characters to be more appealing than the main couple overall. With that said the point made by the author character at the end holds true, this work is not for me, its for the author's own happiness and his belief in himself and the stories he wants to tell. Shot-Calling Sugar Baby is his baby to do with what he wants, and I'm just along for the ride.
