Well, to be fair, asking for soap for a birthday present is kinda...let's just say, unorthodox.
I suppose he wanted some Vanilla scented soap and got actual sweet Vanilla loving instead.
That ending though. "I could see my girlfriend changing changing before my eyes and it made me a little uneasy"? I suppose not knowing what caused her to act this way, he would feel a little uneasy. But hey, at least he also got the soap he wanted in the end.
