This story is just bitter. Not savage like ntr, not sweet like vanilla, but just bitter. Story has a vague ending that leaves you wanting more but I got a feeling the artist won't ever deliver. A shame but I like stories like these.
If or when the occasion calls for it, Nagayori-sensei indeed knows how to lay down the "Deep Shit (TM)". Personally, I don't see Kirihara-sensei feeling any guilt; she herself told Chika that her and Takashi's relationship was purely physical ... unless it's being hinted that some deeper yet unexpressed feelings might still be lurking in her mind. If so, that confirms this artist's ability to lay down the "Deep Shit".
So the way this ends heavily implies that things moved on, but not in a happy direction for anybody. Well, I guess sometimes it's better to know when to end a relationship. No need for a relationship that's a burden on everybody involved.
DAYUM! ... a bit of a wringer there for a moment. Almost thought when she went home with him, Takashi was gonna go all "wham, blam, it's time to jam!" (so-to-say) on Chika, thereby releasing his frustration at apparently being sidelined permanently from baseball thru injury. A last-minute spur of conscience seemed to stop that from happening.
In The End, it's not totally clear whether Takashi chose Chika (can't say for certain whether she's an 'osananajimi') ... but at least he didn't go down "a path of no return". Also, there's no indication that Kirihara-senpai seemed to mind (she herself admitted to Chika that she and Takashi were no more than sex-friends).
Once Again, Nagayori-sensei dropped some "Deep Shit" on us ... notwithstanding, we're closing in on a full tankoubon, one fine day.
*reads title, gets backflash from the old story with the same name telling the story of a teacher who got tortured and his balls crushed by two of his students after the girl he loved (who also was his mistress) had enough of him and gave him to them like an old dish towel*
....
*wakes up 20 mins later*
Sorry... somehow I forgot what I wanted to comment originally...
I feel like that I read that and repressed it. Even now my mind is going back and forth about whether I remember it. Still not gonna look it up again though.
Hmm, he was being a little forceful with her, until he remembered that moment they had together that motivated him to practice pitching more and he stopped. So, yeah, good on him for realising what he was about to do and stopped before it went too far...Although in the end, it happened anyway at her insistence.
That ending though...Interesting. I feel like I kind of want to see more from this story and these characters...
