The thing is, the "good guy" is a naïve sentimentalist who
wants to "save" a woman who doesn't need to be "saved."
She soon settles down by marrying a baker who's one of
her former sex clients (as seen on page 1), so everything
turns out fine for her.

Far from being a simple hentai parody, this chapter draws
upon modern interpretations of the fable, so it's clear that
Tansuiken studied the Wiki article very carefully.

In 19th Century paintings, the Grasshopper was often
depicted as a cold, hungry girl with a mandolin (which
is the inspiration for our guitar-playing FMC).

Tansuiken gives the fable a cynically humorous twist
by pointing out that, during hard times, an improvident
woman can always survive by renting out her ass.

It's a clever parody of one of Aesop's
Fables, "The Ant and the Grasshopper."
