As a last resort, maybe we could get that young man with the unlucky right hand from "A Certain Magical Index" to punch him in the face. Some folks who delve deep into Index fanfiction have labelled such a move the Touma Punch (TM) ... Males who get it applied to them inevitably get themselves a girlfriend, or in a few cases, they acquire a harem. Females who get it applied to them, thus far, end up becoming members of Touma's (Unknown) Harem.
Bittersweet indeed. Although it seems quite likely based on what little he managed to say hat he would have liked to call her her actual name, had she not kept insisting on this...
There is a metaphor for settling for less in here. We see this everywhere in the dating game. A man or woman knowing they cannot get the person they really want will take what comes their way. They don't truly love this person often times, they think of their lost love while making love to the people they've settled with. Those settled with people are living in a rather cold reality, as referenced here. One in which the light never truly shines on them.
That title...I'm certainly hoping the answer is "Me (The protagonist)"?
What a nice girl though. Despite her reservations, she still sort of helped him out by telling him all about her Senpai (Yeah it gave her a reason to hang out with him more, but it was still nice of her). And hey, although she saw it as something she could use to her advantage, she also consoled him when he was down...She's just such a good girl.
Still...If you can't beat Senpai, just...Become Senpai? That's an interesting strategy, and it seemed to work out quite well. I feel like he would have been perfectly okay with just going out with her normally after the first time, but she seemed so insistent that he keep calling her Senpai that I think he's kind of just rolling with it.
It was probably a mistake for Waka-chan to decide to "fill in" for a Senpai who's apparently already taken.
Let Us Pray, Bretherin (and Sisterin, too) that Acchan awakens from his illusion and recognizes Waka-chan as herself, and not as a 'Senpai' substitute.
GHOE ... please prepare the appropriate sacrifice to the Goddess Of Sequels.
Either way ... IT'S SUPER-EFFECTIVE!
