It isn't. But Japanese social pressure is worse than in the US and France so even if they love each other and care for each other in their private lives he has to take it or risk having her get bullied even worse than the way she bullies him.
That's a great debut. I'll definitely be following this artist. This reminded me of Pleasure and Corruption; a relationship based on total control, a sadistic passion... Love it!
They're so adorable on page one...Promising to marry each other in the future.
She was so adorable as a child, and she grew up to be a demanding princess, huh. I mean I get that she becomes a loving girlfriend whenever they're alone together, but I really don't feel great about her treating him like absolute garbage in public.
She can 'make it up to him' all she wants when they're alone together, doesn't change the fact the poor fella doesn't deserve such treatment. All so that she can keep up an image...I feel like such a thing shouldn't matter in the face of love, but clearly, she doesn't agree.
Does she plan to keep it up forever, then? Or rather until they graduate, I suppose. I guess it's just a matter of bearing with it for now?
Well, if he's fine with it then that's okay, I guess. I suppose he finds the exchange of letting him do whatever he wants in exchange for being treated like crap worth it.
In a better world. But if he really loves her he has to take it. Japanese social pressure is worse than in the US and France so even if they love each other and care for each other in their private lives he has to take it or risk having her get bullied even worse than the way she bullies him. We are talking about horrible rumors, defacing the desk with razorblades and writing words like slut and easy on it, getting dunked on the toilet, getting her panties stolen from her locker, or even getting beat up by older or just bigger girls for pocket money. (Usually done on the way home instead of in school.) High Schools in Japan brush bullying under the rug and care more about the grade point averages of the students, and the general image of the school. The only students that can basically guarantee not getting bullied for their looks or the way they act are the rich kids because their parents donate extra to the school to safeguard them. https://www.dw.com/en/why-is-bullying-so-vicious-in-japanese-schools/a-46074534
Crazy bitch.
Perfect example of what an abusive relationship looks like, but in reverse. I don’t know if the artist intended to potray the story that way, but these are scenarios where I really don’t mind a cheating, or even a NTR tag just so MC-kun can get away from the manipulative partner.
There is actually an exact story like that on here. Male Mc has a childhood friend who treats him like crap, thinking that she is being cute. Well turns out MC never saw it like that for the amount of years he endured and another much nicer and accepting girl swoops in and takes him from his childhood friend.
Childhood friend girl tries to confess to him and his new nice gf calls her out on all her bullying over the years.
Uh, ... opinions will naturally vary as to whether this is really a healthy relationship. Granted according to the story, they have a trade-off of sorts; for every act of bullying and public humiliation Yuri inflicts on him, Maa gets his *koff-koff* moment of "payback" when they're alone together ..... perhaps my tastes have changed over time, but personally, I can't go for that.
Still, I'm willing to follow this new artist, trusting that his next work here will suit me better.
Regarding the story you referred to about a similar setup where male character DOES NOT enjoy the abuse; title needed for ... er, "research purposes", please.
I'm not feeling the vanilla with this title. I go to vanilla for some more heartwarming content. This didn't do that for me. Appearances should always come second and maybe if she was open and not abusive he'd have more reason to feel good and empowered enough to prove himself to everyone but her.
THANK YOU!!! Seems like an abusive relationship really. It is one thing to tease him because she likes him, but to me it seems like flat out humiliation. Plus, seems like the dude is not really into it.
