She was smiling when she first arrived. She was happy to be with him until he started acting like a jerk. The relationship doesn't need fixing, his attitude does.
Only at the end (when it's far too late to fix things) does
Itaru begin to realize how badly he fucked everything up.
There won't be any happy reconciliation.
That's not very plausible. Everyone seems to like and respect Rei,
and Itaru's friend even reminds him that he's lucky to have such a
nice girlfriend.
(page 3, panel 2)
The dude is a fucking dick. I hope she leaves him, tbh. Not only did he force and gaslight her, but he never once listened to her requests and purposefully went against them. Then he has the gall to tell her to shut up when she asks about his different attitude?
And all because he has no self worth or goals. This guy deserves to get NTR'd and she deserves better.
Nobody deserves to get NTR'd imo. His self worth is a big problem and I believe her to not leave him in a try to help him, but thats never good. Her leaving him is the best option available for both of them
I disagree him being cucked that well it's too civil what should happen is for him too take her more serious and right when she starts to catch on to his change bam car accident brutally and violently kills her right in front of him front him while he witness it and utterly fails to do anything to be able to stop it. Then have him go through the legal process and watch as the perpetrator walks on the flimsy defence imaginably possibly cooked up for added effect. That is you do to men who ignore a female's admirations you have live without those admirations each day knowing that they are the direct cause of them being stripped away. That's how you deal with this fellow reader cucking would only cause them to focus on Improvement of their live. The goal should be self corrosiive internal destruction and that can't just be accomplished with self oriented and unfaithful females that's never enough to break a man.
Are you actually proposing that a nice girl like Rei must suffer a
gruesome death in order to teach Itaru a proper lesson? Really?
Maybe you should rethink that.
Dude is an asshat. I hope to GOD characters like him are a figment of the artist's imagination and not based off of someone they know in real life. What a pathetic waste he would be.
The guy really needs to get his shit together and fix that stupid attitude he’s got towards his girlfriend otherwise he will regret not having done something sooner when the girl finally leaves him!
Would you kindly explain to me why you think that she have to die no that would be quite the waste of the plentiful amount of possibilities to break her and him in a single incident you must be very mindful of usefulness the fragile state of a human mind . The road leading to destruction is paved in many careful calculated steps of the human state. Man people on this site are so pure.
"I wonder if it's not too late to fix things."
(page 28, panel 3)
If you have to ask yourself that question, your relationship is probably already
broken beyond all hope of repair.
Rei is pretty, talented, and popular. Her life is fulfilling, and her future is bright.
By contrast, Itaru is an unhappy slacker who resents Rei because he believes
she's leaving him behind, which (as the title suggests) is a warped perception
of their relationship. In fact, his resentment (fueled by envy and self-hatred) is
driving a wedge between them.
Instead of facing his own shortcomings (rather than blaming Rei for shining
too brightly), Itaru allows his resentment to fester, until he finally snaps and
gives Rei a hate-fuck, which will only hurt their already-doomed relationship.
The degree of Itaru's envy and resentment is shocking:
"You sure have it nice, don't you? You do whatever
you feel like, and have fun with all these other guys."
(pages 25-26)
Making such a caustic remark immediately after a hate-fuck
is truly adding insult to injury. After that sorry display, Itaru's
relationship with Rei is irreparably broken. She'd be a fool if
she continued to associate with him.
That's generally what people with low self-esteem do. To make them feel good about themselves, they like to bring others down or expect those individuals to lower their drive to reach their potential. Getting off my soapbox here, yeah, at least it was nice to see Itaru didn't have any high expectations that would result from his hate fuck, or on that parallel, her pity fuck.
The "things" for the MC to fix seem to be, as another stated, his own attitude towards the girl, who still likes him enough to want to drop by. He'd better do so soon, before she drifts away.
That is an acceptable use of standoff. But he was definitely being a festering ass. Taking his immature frustration on a wonderful girl. I hope there is a sequel where he redeems himself or gets cast out like a leper.
