Ooh, a yandere release? Nice.
"Wait, does that mean she thinks I'm dead"? Well...Yeah.
I must say though that was some quick thinking on his part. It...Sealed his fate forevermore, sure, but hey, things don't seem that bad...
I'd like to see a sequel set a year later, in which "Yuki-kun" finally confesses he's not really Yuki, and Yumeko in turn confesses she woke up to the truth several months ago, but kept up the yandere act because she was afraid of losing him.
(It's interesting that we never learn the protagonist's real name.)Â
Plot twist, the doll was actually her friend that was trapped as a doll. She believes her friend switched into this guys body right before the accident. Now her real friend is dead and she will eventually figure out that he isn't her old friend. She figures out how to turn him into a puppet and it becomes a crazy series of her fucking dudes and collecting them as puppets.
Yandere covers a broad spectrum of behavior, from crazy- but-harmless to murderous maniac. Yumeko seems to be one of the (relatively) mild-mannered ones.
This chapter needs a NEW tag: "Sweet Smile" (page 7, panel 4) and (page 18, panel 4)
The smile suggests that Yumeko is actually good-hearted, and that "Yuki-kun's" friendship might eventually draw her out of her psychosis, which is a happy thought.
Calling Once More for the "DAYUM!" tag ... THIS one Qualifies Unquestionably. Of course, nothing to stop me from creating a personal collection of my own, entitled: "DAYUM!"
