I don't close at my workplace but I've heard stories of people being cockends who do that
It's also happened at my voluntary place, where I usually stay the whole day and they trust me enough to lock the door. I once walked past there and it was still open half an hour after closing, for this reason as well as piss-poor volunteers who didn't want to do any work so she was left to do everything so was behind on the day's paperwork and closing procedures. So I offered to help with the paperwork and get everything out on display in so she could focus on closing up the shop.
It's just crazy how people expect their asses to be pampered.
