Saya no Uta English Localization v1.0.0 Released

Saya no Uta(沙耶ã®å”„, Saya no Uta? lit. Saya's Song) is a visual novel by Nitroplus with horror elements.
Some fans consider the plot to be Lovecraftian. Although direct references to the Cthulhu mythos are minimal, the dark, eerie atmosphere reminds people of his works. Nitroplus is also known for the production of the heavily Mythos-inspired Demonbane series.
Plotline
Fuminori Sakisaka has a traffic accident which kills his parents and leaves him heavily injured. When he has a brain surgery to save his life, his perception of the world changes: everything he sees becomes blood, people's looks and voices seem like monsters, and food that normally appeals to him tastes disgusting.
As he contemplates suicide in the hospital, Fuminori meets a beautiful girl among the flesh-covered walls. She introduces herself as Saya, and is apparently looking for her father. Fuminori does not want to be separated from Saya, and asks her to live with him. She agrees.
However, while to Fuminori, Saya appears as a normal girl when everything else in his point of view is flesh and guts, normal people see it differently — just as he sees normal things as flesh and blood, Fuminori sees actual flesh and blood as normal. Saya is actually an intelligent monster, though what she actually looks like is never revealed (the only revelations are that she is covered in slime and has large tentacles). Her favorite food is human flesh, and her hobby is modifying brains and human bodies. However, as Fuminori genuinely loves Saya, Saya does not kill much for his sake.
The truth is revealed when Fuminori comes home to see Saya eating the slime-covered corpse of a girl he knows, which appears as a yellow-green jelly-like thing in Fuminori's eyes. When he tries it, he actually finds the human flesh delicious due to his twisted senses.

The story is interesting but it's kinda short though.

Yup hence the file size.I don't like going after filesizes, since games like Divi-Dead are like 350-400mb in size and it's a full game.

Btw, do you know how many hours of gameplay it is? Like 2-3?

Ya it's fairly short so the gameplay is around 2-5 hours depending on your reading speed.

Finished it today, great game, a bit too short, but that was expected.
The art was nicely done, and i both liked and disliked when they used cg for some stuff, but whatever.
Soundtrack was pretty much awesome all the way through, good stuff.
This was easily my favourite track

I've been waiting for this to get translated for what feels like ages, and it even lived up to all my expectations.
I am one of those who usually thinks anything great I recently read was the greatest ever, so I've said this loads of times; This is the best thing I've 'ever' read in a while.
As far as Lovecraftian goes, this is more from the point of view of the simple-minded Negroes rather then the educated and rational scholars. Which is better then it sounds, as it leaves more room for the characters feelings to shine through. There is a really touching romance hidden behind all the madness and gore.

I only just found out about the translation for this. I was interested in it some time ago but it didn't even look like it was going to get translated then.
I found this torrent and then searched the forums to see if anyone had already made a thread for this game. I obviously found this thread so I thought I may as well share the torrent for it just in case anyone's interested.
It contains:
[list][*]The game ISO (naturally)
[*]The OST
[*]Saya no Uta 1 HCG
[*]Saya no Uta 2 HCG*
[*]Various save games
[*]A Saya no Uta MAD
[*]A Saya no Uta trailer[/list:u]
*I wonder what this is. There isn't a sequel, as far as I know.
