The 'Unsaid Thoughts' Thread

Analysis: Oh dear, where to begin? In an incredible show of conceptual hypocrisy, the thread is titled "Unsaid Thoughts". A simple glance at the contents reveals that a good oh, say 100% of the thoughts are, in fact, said*. Why this thread is 2000+ pages is beyond me. Is there like an inner monologue tug-of-war here between !URGENT! and :OHTHESHAME:? Are people are walking around like, "Wow I've gotta say this I've gotta say this but instead of telling someone like a friend I'll post it on the forums. But NO it's too shameful and cannot be said! If only there was a way I could say it and pretend I hadn't actua- golly that's right we have a thread for this!"?

Then there are the rants. People have always been using this thread to vent. Why they couldn't use a "Venting" or "GRR POST WHY YOU'RE MAD" thread is a mystery. As an almost inevitable consequence, forum users began ranting about each other in this thread. For some reason only you and people not associated to the one you are slandering can read your rants. Or maybe you are intentionally trying to incite someone, with your "Yeah I totally showed them with my clever post revealing these COMPLETELY MYSTERY parties of less-than-illustrious standing for what they truly are!" post.

Lastly I'm sure you all remember the years of teenage angst (or at least someone who experienced a spell of it). It's the period where you got a blog, or I suppose it is a Twitter nowadays, and posted incredibly passive-aggressive complaints about how your life is terrible or how society has wronged you in every way imaginable. This jewel of a forum thread appears to be filled-to-the-brim with these types of posts. Now I know that not everyone in there is 15 years old, so the ONLY rational hypothesis is that the (oh-so) interesting mix of ranting and hypocrisy has coalesced into some horrid form of negative energy that adversely affects the posting styles of all who enter. No other explanations possible.

*"Say", "Saying", "Said", or all variations thereof can be understood to reflect text written by user(s), as this is the primary (and often only) form of forum communication.

tl;dr what is this thread I don't even, everyone who uses this thread is completely insane

I agree with Antw0n regarding this. It is fun to browse through sometimes, when it doesn't make you paranoid.

Study? Hardly. There were a number of complaints about users exhibiting behavior in paragraph(ii) of my post, which incited my curiosity.

We would need full support of the U.N. Security Council. Seriously though, maybe a number of posts exhibiting interest and some minor discussion. (I just perused through some of the CTFG threads and my mind was aboggle with the word "WHY", the kind of "WHY" in which you can clearly envision that the road to the explanation is the same as the one where you lose your faith in humanity.) I'm saying it's difficult.

Incredibly. You should try it if you have the time, it's great for a laugh.

Let's face it: somewhere in this world, someone gets off on that shit. There's a fetish for everyone, I guess.

It's almost like I didn't read a good few pages of them when I was writing up this thread. There's this constant repetition you see, of, "Oh no dark and dreary the skies are grey the land is grey this puppy you gave me to cheer me up is grey. Everyone hates me and wooow people are so rude today someone bumped into me in the hallway and I dropped all my books and had to pick them up and the ground was grey." Gets a tad old.

Sure I still hate the stupid people, but in a way I get some sick pleasure out of it.

I only go in there once or twice a blue moon, just so I can vent my anger... Cause fuck making a thread about that shit, I just want to make one post, where nobody will pay attention (let's face it, who does) so it's out of my system, and the thread has a little more anger in it :D
