After reading through this thread, I have been thinking about these anime recommendations topics. Everyone has different tastes in anime so I don't blame them for asking. However, having too many repeat threads is also an issue.

Time to brainstorm a solution...

How about a "Recommend me an anime" thread. People can post what type of anime they want and everyone else can recommend what they like that fits the description.

Or maybe a "this anime is similar to this other anime" thread, where you can categorize it by similarity in storyline, similarity in themes, similarity in art, etc.

I recommend Excel Saga, if you're in for some whack of a show. I have the DVDs, and I watch them when I'm pretty much bored.
