[Anime] Akame ga Kill!

seems like this going to become another anime to advertise the manga

I really don't care if they used an original ending for the anime, as the Wild Hunt Arc felt more like a filler.


TL;DR: To me Wild Hunt was solely created to make both the Jaegers and Night Raid look even better.

So I just marathoned this series in the course of I think maybe a week.

Initially, I thought I was going to hate this series. I really thought I was going to hate it going into the first episode. It reeked of every damn thing I hated in anime. Then, after a snarky prediction come true, I was hooked. It gets a bit hit or miss with some episodes, but I overall like the series despite what complaints I shall have by the end of it all.

It's not really the best thing I am watching right now, but it is holding my attention a lot better than say the adaptation for "Magic Kaitou" or "SAO II". Sweet Jesus, anything is better than "SAO II" right now.

Now to read the manga. I just thought this was based on a light novel.

I might have to give the anime an 8/10 now instead of a normal 7/10.

The episode was shounen as hell, but not Naruto or AoT shounen; much closer to Dragon Ball shounen. The ending was nicely played out too despite it feeling rushed.

I heard she lives in the manga. Either way, good ridance. This world already has enough twin tailed pink tsunderes.

I'm so lost at what is going on and why they are doing what they are doing to the main characters, but fuck it. Whatever.

Anime is kinda losing me... I think I'll just stick with manga.

okay i was not expecting that character death spoiler. lol just started maybe a week ago and am about halfway through. honesty i had just gotten done watching zankyou no terror and needed something else to watch but i didn't think i would stick with it. about half-way through and its pretty good.

I watch it for her, and this is how white fox betrays me!

Lol, well she is into torture. But anyway, I don't know how to feel about this ending. At all. Though a slaughterfest to the end but...

They all died but Akame. I mean Akame was cool and all.. but all of them. Dead.

am i the only one that kind of enjoyed that ending? i mean, sure everyone died but that placed more value on how they lived, the goals they were achieving. besides, they did say that a peaceful world had no need for assassins, though akame is burdened with whatever leftovers there may be

Nah, your not the only one. I loved how everything ended. I believe that Leone wanted to die to be re-united with her friends in the afterlife and she seeing how she died in that dark alley was well done.

The battle was amazing.
Esdeath death was amazing.
That piece of shit death was amazing.

Overall, this anime was Amazing ^_^

The anime is ok. Not great, but not worst, either.

For those who (really) enjoy the anime, good for you.
For those who don't enjoy the anime, you still have the manga to enjoy to (hopefully). So yeah, no need to overbashing the anime with insult or whatsoever that'll becomes eye-cancer for those who actually enjoying it.

Since I haven't finished up the manga yet, I can't really say how this series compares to it overall.

It seems to adapt the initial parts of it very well, but makes way for an ending without a rush it feels.

I can't say I am disappointed in the series I watched. But then, I can't say it was the most memorable series I watched.

The more I think about this series now, the more I contemplate on the initial shock that I was watching a fairly shounen anime series have its characters dying. Yet, it didn't feel like it really added anything in the end, just a slowly dwindling roster of characters who I either cared about or didn't really have time to care about.

I've watched worse adaptations of manga in the past, far worse stuff. I find it hard to sit here and declare this trash. Yet I find it hard even saying I really enjoyed it.

Ah well, I got Shingeki no Bahamut and Fate/Stay Night. I'm happy.
