Anime Attractiveness

@theotaku: so regular cartoons are better? I know Disney cartoons are drawn pretty well, but they can't compare to anime, and it isn't the animation style.

Attracting everyone around the world is abit over the top ambitious. And where did disney come into the picture as well as regular cartoons? Your just putting words in my mouth, my opinion of anime being visually appealing still stands.

anime is visually expressive in that every piece of body language imposes an emotion or reaction. cartoon companies like disney dont have this kind of eye grabbing animation because they aim for a more authentic human reaction from just about any animal or mermaid or... toy. to me, anime is a much more dynamic medium for todays moral on the go.

a womans eyes are very important to my first physical judgement and anime has the one up in this department as well. ive seen big oval eyes so deep with color and emotion that i must have been staring for 2, 3 minutes before i snapped myself out of it. nekomatayas are some of the best, her female figures are actually capable of supporting their own weight too.

Seriously stop whacking off to Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella, Snow White, and any other Disney female lead because they will never be as good as anime girls.

why is disney coming into the picture you ask? simply put, drawing is a tasking discipline that ends up with the same result: some lines and color on a piece of paper. how you convey what your thinking onto paper is up to you but thats only method. the question was why anime is such an appealing art form and i can easily see how a comparison between it and disney came to be. disneys such a vast presence in todays cartoon industry that its practically its own art form, i feel they have a very distinctive style themselves.

ive seen simpsons porn, disney porn, flinstones porn... unthinkable things. however, rule 43 applies to hentai just as much as it does disney porn. although disney porn isnt technically 'hentai' its a form of cartoon pornography so a comparison is a credible way of distinguishing key differences.

I think it comes down to a few things first
1. Everyone is a picture perfect portrait of beauty.
2. They take you away from reality to an unreal place which most people want
3. Great plot/storyline
4. Characters are more human and you can better relate to them then RLpron starz
5. ITS JUST PLAIN AWESOME

@theotaku: I'm making the analogy here that if the only thing about anime was that it visually appealed to the audience, Disney would be just as and even more famous than the anime series we know and love. There's more to anime than just visuals, a point I keep stressing.

I think I'd have to agree with g-money that we like anime not just for their looks. I think the fact that they're personalities are made based on what most of the guys look think are cute is a big factor (e.g. being tsundere, clumsiness, etc...) couple that with good looks and stunning visuals and we're hooked

I watch anime for their swoon-worthy "KYAa KyAa" moments. I like the giddiness of falling in love with an anime character and sitting at the edge of my seat whilst discovering what awaits my hero/heroine in the next instalment/episode. Anime is just so awesome.
