[Anime] Kill la Kill

The fanservice (action and ero) is pretty good, but what really sells me is the great art direction (though Satsuki's ugly imo) and completely absurd comedy. I'm going to watch this anime with a metric ton of salt balanced on each finger.

I'm not too keen on the fan service either, but it doesn't detract from the sheer epicness that this first episode took off with.

Same here. I'm not sure why people are even bringing it up to begin with.

I love every single aspect of this show. It's like Tarantino on crack.

Some people don't like fanservice, some do. I for one enjoy a fine balance between action, comedy and fanservice.

This is everything I expected and wanted it to be. It's literally too fucking amazing for my own good, just from the first episode alone, I can tell this is my favorite show of the season, I don't even have to watch anything else just to tell that.

While it's not inyaface, like say Strike Witches (The main offender of fanservice and why I complain when there is too much and it tries way too hard) that outfit she's wearing and the blatant ass shot during the spinning camera wasn't trying a little too hard? I know it's part of the creators style and all, but at least Yoko had an excuse.

I like Fanservice in moderation, even Kodomo no Jikan landed in my favorites because it was backed by fantastic character development and plot, albeit I felt the ending wasn't all up to snuff. Being used as a crutch to sell is where I complain.

You can definitely tell this was done by the people who did Gurren Lagann, all those explosions and unnecessary boasting. And...

Episode 1

I thought the outfit was just a distraction/means of a way to make this anime sell, but I've had a conversation with Artcellrox and maybe fanservice is justified this time. If this is the case, I take back whatever I said about the ridiculousness about the outfit.

Albeit, this is only speculation, I'm keeping my hopes up and saying there's way deeper than over-the-top action and fanservice. I'm hoping this is what the authors had in mind and not just pandering eye-candy.

If its justifed then I'm okay with it. Hopefully the clothing has a story with it, which its looking like it will. If it was only meant for eye-candy they would have shown off more with it (close-ups of beads of sweat, 1000 different angles, etc).

[color=#006FFF]I'm pretty tolerant of the fanservice of it now but if this ends up being legit than wow am I going to love this anime 100x more. That would be an excellent "excuse"/legitimization of the open midriff and it would make for as many rivals for Ryuko to fight as they want (since that one strand she got in episode one was incredibly small).

As a sidenote, I really look forward to seeing Satsuki's goku uniform in its transformed state. Bound to be badass.

This is off on a tangent...but doesn't Senketsu remind anyone a bit like Samson from Skullgirls...? Lives off of a host, and has a red/yellow eye...

The resemblance is frightening~ XDDD
