Anime reboots?

Well people of fakku im back with another topic today is about reboots, not movies but anime here lately we have been seeing quite of few anime reboots FMA:brotherhood, DBZ:kai, Hellsing ultimate evangelion 1.1 and 2.2 just to name a few. What are your thoughts about anime reboots and what anime you would want to be rebooted or think will be next. I really hope Gantz gets a reboot.

Not sure what it means, but id like to know more. Whats a reboot? Sorry lolz first time hearing it.

reboot, is the basically same thing as a remake. Go wiki both the term in wikipedia.

No, Suzumiya Haruhi that was released in 2009 is actually a 2nd season, they just never bother to change the current title, hence the 2009 to avoid confusion.

The best example is Kanon. the Kanon(2006) which was made by Kyoto animation is a reboot of Kanon(2002) which was made by Toei animation.

I generally welcome reboots for they:
1) bring generally higher grade arts/animations = Rebirth of Evangelion
2) They usually manage the stories better (longer/more contents/truer to the originals, etc) = Kanon, FMA, etc
3) Mostly have higher production value.

I've rarely seen reboots that do not bring justice to the original, although I did think that Astro Boy should've been left in memory.

When it comes to anime, I'll admit, I haven't been disappointed so far. And no, I don't consider the new Astro Boy a reboot or remake of any kind. Just a film adaptation of the original manga.

Personally, I would like to see a complete reboot of Suzuka and Ouran High. Maybe Ouran High would work with a new season or whatever, but I want Suzuka to be remade from scrath, better than the anime and on par with the manga in terms of quality. Plus, now that the series ended, the anime can easily adapt the whole story, without having to resort to fillers.

A Gantz remake? If they do they better improve... A LOT.

One anime that got me on both occasions, Kanon.

I haven't been more satisfied than with the Hellsing reboot.

Hellsing: Ultimate is one of my favourite shows out there.

Mostly Super Robot Animes get reboots. From Mazinger Z to Shin Mazinger Z.
Mazinkaiser to Mazinkaiser SKL.

Claymore is one I would like to see a reboot of.

I think certain reboots like Hellsing OVA, Evangelion Rebuild, and FMA Brotherhood are very good, because they add something to their respective series not just rehash them with some better visuals.

I've personally been enjoying all of the remakes thus far, so I definitely wouldn't mind more being done. As for what, I'd love Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime remakes done by ufotable.

I personally like the more realistic Robots like Tachikomas From Ghost in the shell. My favorite mechs are Gundams, Evas and more human sized Mecha like the Knight Sabers.
To me personaly Mechs make the world go round in futuristic anime.

Mobile Suit Gundam ---> Gundam Origins (or something like that.)

Thoughts on it? Well if the original work was good, I just hope it lives up to it. If it sucked I hope it does a better job. If it's a 'semi-new' story, well, I hope it provided enough new scenes and such, just keep me watching and I'll be okay.

they should remake gantz and even tenjho tenge

id say they should remake ninja scroll seeing how its so hard and maybe a little hard to find plus also its a great series and everyone who loves ninjas should watch

I want a Gantz reboot, but I'll settle for Berserk and Hunter x Hunter.
