[Anime] Suisei no Gargantia

Shaky shaky. As everyone here has said, I was distracted as well, that I had to rewatch that part to see Bellow and Pinion's conversation. Ledo and Chamber are a perfect combination. I await for more wallpapers to be distributed some time in the future. Looking forward to the battle against that squid-like thing.

Looks like the shit finally hit the fan. Now they're gonna blame Ledo for causing this divide within Gargantia. Would've been epic if Ledo and Chamber had attacked that whole shoal of squids though.

When she was saying "Ledo Don't go! I...", wonder what she was going to say eh?

But these whalesquid are interesting creatures, they can survive in space and water, are deadly combatants, similiar to the Levation from Mass Effect in a way.

Should be interesting to see if they actually find anything on the dive, if it happens.

As much as I want Ledo to dive in and kill all of those squids, it looks really difficult. Chamber can't fight well underwater as we can see from that one on one battle. It'd be a suicide mission if he did, so it was a good thing Ridget stopped him. I wonder what treasure could be of more worth than their lives. Looking forward to the next episode.

Very melancholic feel to this episode. Ledo doesn't even need Chamber to translate for him anymore either. I have a feeling Pinion and Flange's fleet will run into some trouble, Ledo will end up flying back to Gargantia requesting help, and Gargantia ends up saving the day.

I didn't know the little brother could walk. Surprised me when he showed up behind Amy.

Prediction from what I've seen so far.

So am I over thinking that Ledo's whale genocide rampage can give rise to the whales indiscriminately attacking humans? Since the whales will attack humans either way, in his opinion, won't Ledo miniscule attempts only incite them to do so sooner? All of this could end up dragging Amy into the confrontation, it almost did in the previous episode, this time he won't be there, to protect them, like he was with the pirates.

The only way I can come to any of his conclusions is by thinking very shortsightedly, which can be interesting if carried out well, but the drama's been feeling a little forced. I'm a little doubtful that any near future tragedies will move me.

Sadness though; He choose the choice of a tool, indiscriminately following orders no longer applicable to arbitrarily cause unnecessary conflict. He was making progress as a human too, learning about introspection, empathy, cooperation... Yet he still thinks in such a simplistic manner.

it was explained when ledo accesses the hidden database and after that,one of the hideauze that was in the video data was actually there(talk about a long life span) and appeared in front of him.then.....Chamber just murdered the fucking thing.

I always suspected that they had some kind of human engineering connection, but I didn't suspect that they were actually of human origin.

Wow, I knew shit was going to get real, but not THAT real. Now we need to see exactly how this will pan out. Clearly Ledo is confused as all hell and now looks to be more or less mentally broken in regards to his "mission". But Chamber, whom has more or less acted not only as Ledo's primary means of support and survival in battle, but almost like a friend in a way, see's the situation as he as always been programmed to, "Kill the enemy".

Granted, I'm not even sure if we can even trust everything that Chamber says, since he did bring in the entire "classified information" bit out there for a short while before Ledo literally FORCED him to reveal the data. It's entirely possible that all of this information isn't necessarily anything new to Chamber, its possible it has been in his programming since the beginning. "It's most likely information tampered with by the enemy"....you mean THE FUCKING GIANT SQUID MONSTERS FROM SPACE!? WTF CHAMBER! In the end, Ledo is just a regular soldier, not necessarily privy to all information regarding this war.

The worst part about this entire situation is that, when you think about it, it's Chamber that holds the firepower, NOT Ledo, and based on the last bit of this episode, it has been made plainly clear that Chamber can act on his own accord based on the most "logical" choice of action at a given time as determined by his analysis. So even if Ledo decides to go against his original "mission", that means going against Chamber, and that means a high probability of taking a laser cannon to the face...
