ANIME vs MANGA

anime easily.

I love cartoons of all sorts, but have an aversion to comics. I can't focus on frames, and sound is very important to me. Plus, you have to read manga backwards, which I failed to do the first time I tried to read manga.

Manga for me. Frames give more of an impact to me, you have a voice in your mind that suits the charactor and portability; for manga you have in portable form anyway. Anime has its great points but overall manga eeks it out.

Even tho anime was based on manga's the question I ask is which is better anime or manga's :-S

Not all animes are based off mangos. Light novels, Vn's, hentai, eroge and Oc are use to. I rather read then watch most times.

I'm going to be serious and say Anime.
Reading Manga sometime gets a little boring every once in a while. [size=3]Also i get a little confused sometimes reading the wrong parts first.[/h]

It all depends on where the story begins from. Take for instance, the new Anime that came out a month or so ago, Zetman. When I first heard about this (being an avid reader of the manga), I was estatic. I thought they would be doing the author some justice by giving him his own anime for this series. Then came episode 1. I was very disappointed because they crammed in so many elements that should've been spaced out more as the series progressed. It felt rushed and it was hard for me to sit through it. I do plan on watching more of it, but just not right now.

I like mangas better. I can understand what is going on in a manga (or light novel and etc.) better then I can in an anime. Mostly because I can reread segments that I get lost at.

Usually the original media of the series. If it happens to be a light novel that's untranslated I'll go to anime.

I'll have to say manga, because you just can't devellop characters, story intrigue and visual effects as much when you're doing an anime.

I would add that as always, written surpasses visionned, for the simple reason that the last onlt sollicitates 3 senses, while the latter solicittes all by the need to recreate movement in ones mind, resequencing each panel behind one another.

This really depends on the particular anime/manga. Sometimes one is better, sometimes the other.

To reinforce this, let's think of a Bakemonogatari manga.
100 pages of reading every chapter.
Do not want.
I'd rather just read the light novels at that point.

Might not be as bad as you imagine. We'll never know unless we see one, though.

There are other examples, though; most recently A-Channel comes to mind as one case where I like the anime much more than the still quite good manga. On the other hand, Gonzo's rape of the Black Cat manga is probably my most hated example of everything that can go wrong with an anime adaption.

Anyway, it really depends on the producers of the Anime, since they're the ones who'll make it if the Anime is better or the Manga.

Like, for example, GTO. GTO was an epic anime with a pretty satisfactory original ending. But if the Anime producers followed the manga more closely, they would've pulled off an epic anime. Plus, Shonan 14 days would be picked up without a problem :(

On the other hand, there are mangas out there that were either too mature to be animated (Yankee-kun to Megane-chan), or was axed too early (Double Arts, MxO T__T ), so i'm going with Manga here. But there are instances where the Anime is definitely better.
