[Anime] Zetsuen no Tempest ~ Run: 10/04/12 - 03/28/13

Well thought out may be an exaggeration (since I'm thinking outside the context of the show itself since they reference real life), but the anime has left plenty of room for a puppeteer outside the realm of their world. No one on earth killed Aika, the origin of the tree's, the will and objective and overall function (restart program) of the tree's, the ability to displace space across time, the overall way there magic works by perpetuation the use of technology for nothing more than a power source.

I don't think this author/director would go in the direction of aliens, especially given how much time is left to the show has (though there is plenty of time if they don't introduce the aliens), I can't really guess the direction myself. But aliens would hardly be "dumb" use. Especially if used well like the example you ignored.

Hello, Plot Twist. Can't say I was expecting Aika to be the Mage of Exodus. Though I guess with a(Hopefully super awesome) fight coming, it's not hard to gather how she died.

Kinda started expecting that since they started suspecting Yoshino( and also because this and the whole double personality theory are just wild theories thrown at us to hide the thruth ). I guess it took some time for me to really believe it but thinking about it logically, it was the only thing making sense. We knew it was a mage affiliated to the three of genesis that killed her, but they never found the culprit at that time, so the last option was Hakaze herself. Also, I very very liked the character of Fuwa Aika, it was obvious she wasn't just a sister and a girlfriend, she had to be special in my opinion.

But most of all, about this episode... That sword! o_o and is it me or is it a chain-saw-sword ?

Plot twist, plot twist everywhere.

Anyway, dat badass super-lethal twin-bladed chainsaw-sword is super cool.



Next is Femme Fatale? Expecting awesome catfight next ep

They pretty much made it obvious with the constant attention to her despite her being a dead character. "Every time it comes to Fuwa Aika the world becomes unpredictable" speeches at least once per 2 episodes, as well, with the constant insistence that they had to have been guided by the tree's.

From the time they realized the existence of the exodus mage I figured it was Aika and the rest of the show enforced the idea that she was not normal. Subtle, this anime is not, its never less interesting, always more so. I normally hate time travel but for the chance to see the deceased girl friend cat fight with the current contender, in a magic showdown... I finished the anime cursing the time till the next episode.

Now I'm curious who the current exodus mage is now (forget his name), and what his role is supposed to be

I love how Hakaze asks "are you really the mage of exodus?" after Aika clearly summons a badass flaming sword right in front of her.

So Fuwa Aika's killer...was Fuwa Aika...huh. Can't say I considered it. I was banking on Hakaze being the one who killed her. But, that possibility evaporated when Aika totally schooled her in that magic catfight. Which was awesome by the way.

Of course I'm not cheating on my feelings for Hakaze... Just... When Aika became upset and punched Hakaze for allowing Yoshino to express his pain over her death, how mad she was at the mention of Yoshino suffering... She was willing to forsake everything she had for them without hesitation.... Such an amazing woman!!!

God, I hate Yuuki Kaji's voice. Especially when he does his "Passionate Yelling Guy" shtick. Ugh. Makes a hell of a lot of sense to get pissed and nearly kill a guy cause he's taking bad news well. Annoying yutz. Other than that, just a breather episode before the shit goes down.

Yoshino getting shot would probably be dramatic, if he hadn't already survived something worse before. Hell, he was alive in the preview. Not even trying, are they? That aside, that "Battle" was pretty awesome, considering it was basically a magic play fight.
