When I was browsing through my latest issue of Megami magazine, a small column featuring the female characters of "Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere" caught my attention. Due to my limited knowledge of Japanese, I am unable to provide much details on its storyline, but from the promotional video below, one can clearly tell that it involves war, airships, mecha and fighting females.

Perhaps it is due to the success of Hyakka Ryoran and Infinite Stratos, I have high hopes for "Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere" too. Scheduled for airing only in October 2011, has anyone else been attracted by the trailer?
I will try to add more information when it becomes available.
The first episode, not looking good. Okay the main problem I had was that it throws WAY to many characters at you all at once and doesn't give you a reason to care about any of them, they are all meaningless if you don't characteriz them. Also the main character, lets not beat around the bush, the thing that was going through my head the whole time he was on screen was "man this guy is a total fag" seriously he's completely unlikeable on top of that his character design just looks like shit, he's also a perv and not even in the smooth way, in the I'm going to touch your boobs now way. I am however going to keep watching, because it does have potential, the whole rebuilding the world thing is great, but so far they don't seem to be using that potnetial, but I will give it a chance to surprise me, I just pray my hope is not wasted.
Ep 01 - Dem big racks are big. *Clears Throat* Moving on...
Spoiler:
Not bad, expect for a few problems. A lot of interesting characters, but none I can pinpoint that I like so far. Although, props for the Main character groping the teacher, lol. The explanation after the credits, totally did not understand that at all and still not sure what the story entails even from the outline, but guess it will be expanded upon. Hope the next ep is somewhat more clearer and more direct. Well at least my favorite voice actor and singer (Minori Chihara) has both a role in the series and does the Main OP ^^ ,so that is one good thing for me. Guess I can keep up with this to see how it goes and if not, just wait for the BD/DVD's to watch it later...
The first episode was rather impressive. It was quite the info-dump, so it will still take some time getting used to the setting considering we have an archdemon and an incubus here.
I would like to say that episode 2 has caused my opinion of this show to stay exactly the same. Still way to many characters, still not enough explanation, and the main character is still a fag, that is all.
After 4 episodes, I still don't have a clue as to what this is about. I'm gonna keep watching it just cause I enjoy the art style, and the somewhat interesting cast, but I don't see this anime getting anywhere.
Oh, wow. That President is such a dick. Ran over a girl just to make her into multiple weapons and force her soul into a doll. Then he goes and kills himself in a huge explosion. And it's all leading up to a huge war.
Wow.. I'm starting to apply the "Judge" mannerism in my daily life... Even in my programming class my teacher and my friends are using it too when starting a sentence in an agreement... example: Sir, are we applying nested loops today?... "Judge", yes we are..
Just like in Spice & Wolf, the power of money is truly frightening. It laughs at your pathetic giant robots. Tori is clearly the best orator. His opponents can't fight back if they are in complete shock. Also, delicious yuri overtones.
