Aren’t those less than occasional hints of romance what make their relationship more special than it seems, and, actually, realistic; what set the series apart from the redundant norm of Japanese romantic-comedy infested media? Hmm..."IMINDESPAIR!?"
Love stories are always a tough sell for me but if there’s one thing I’m definitely buying here, it’s the fact that Riku is truly, madly, debtly in love with Nino for the rest of his life. And that, that’s actually the running gag here not the crazy folks under the bridge, and certainly not the (?) that Nino is a Venusian.
Hm. Those occasional hints of romance definitely make the romance between Ko and Nino oh so sweet, but I honestly wouldn't mind more of it. Although I'm a sucker for romance so my opinion is a little bit biased. I also wouldn't mind a whole series of P-KO and the Mayor having a cute little love affair, with Star trying to cut in. Haha, with that statement, you can tell that I really liked episode 4...
I could also see their love story being the main gag, but, once again, I'm a sucker for romance so I'd like to think of it otherwise...
(Plus, Nino in a sailor suit...do want)
The second half of episode 4 was quite nice as well, and helped me to get into the Halloween spirit even more. I laughed when Stella conned Ko into helping her out and then grew giant. They certainly like to keep her in that form, eh? It was a little disappointing that we didn't see more of sexy Maria, though especially in that vampire outfit of hers...
The selling point of the Halloween segment was definitely when Ko was cared by the fact that he looked like his dad in the mirror. Now, what person isn't terrified of becoming their parents?!
