Haven't watched BRIDGE9 just yet. Been busy with exams. Ya. Sorry if I sound too general, just had to make a quick run over that day. Anyhow, I guess I will start a new topic if I can make it work...

I'm actually curious about Maria... Why is she like that and how come she seems so elegant yet has such a nasty personality? It makes you wonder what happened to her in the past and to even wonder why she can raise livestock?

Was her situation like Sister? Maybe she went through a different kind of trauma? All I know is that her personality definately had to come from somewhere that had a great influence on her... Like with Sister, as you pointed out hermit, he was influenced by war. Makes you wonder about all the residents...

In fact, WHO IS HOSHI? What did he do beforehand and why is he under the bridge? Was he just lured by Nino? Or was he escaping reality? Perhaps he could have been a famous singer/band member out of the bridge, so why?

I guess what I'm really getting at is, are all the people under the bridge REALLY there for a specific reason? Or are they just all nutcases? I mean, hell, some of the characters definately feel like nutjobs, but are they really? Man. Its getting harder and harder to tell...

With the denpa wannabe... I can't really pin it down... Perhaps its Rachael? Nah... Can't be. A loli that changes into a mafia boss... can't be. Maybe Shiro? He is kinda the type to hide secrets well...

Definitely Rachael. It is usually the person you wuold least expect, its too obvious. It has got to be her.

So, when will we meet her in the anime?

Rachel is already there. She's the dangerous loli right? I don't like her so my memory for her is bad XD. Its a good point you make though. The person you least suspect. That's always a way to go about thinking. I'd still say its probably Shiro or Kappa :D

By dangerous you mean the ultimate dojinko whose clumsiness can involve, possibly even harm, everyone whos near her? IIRC, thats Pepper. Not sure she is loli, though.

But is it really important to know that theres a character in this anime who is crazy enough to act like nuts and be actually sane? Arent we supposed to find out eventually, by keeping watch or was it just to say that this anime is beyond superficial?

Anyway, Im sticking wiht Rachel now that I know shes Pepper. lulz

Reason: she takes care of everyone by providing them veggies which fits the description "pretending to be denpa for everyone elses sake" plus the fact that she doesnt stay under the bridge during winter and can drive a motorcycle without causing an accident.

Well, speculation is the greatest part once you've obtained the pieces, so I think I'll give a tentative guess.

There's only a handful of background information on the pasts of some character -- and that's assuming what they told Ric was true anyway. Sister's a former still a warfreak. Stella came from an orphanage supervised by Sister. Shiro's a former office worker, and the metal brothers have special powers and are on the run from the lab geeks and the military. I'm not sure they've revealed Stella's background since I haven't watched the current ep, but I'll just say her background's the same as Sister's. Hoshi's onviously a rockstar. I still don't know anything about the klutz, P-Ko other than she's a danger to humanity if left alone. Kappa's -- I can't even describe him and his suit XD

So, who here's just pretending? A sane person acting insane?

Well, I don't really have enough proof for my claim since this may sound like pure guess -- but it would be Nino, Ric's lover.

Evidence? None really. Call it gut feeling or something, but I'm sure she's hiding several things from the us. So, she decides to become Ric's lover as an exchange for helping him? Was that truly her intention, to get a lover? That's a big maybe. What if her true reason was to help Ric escape from who he would end up by introducing him to the village? I know that's still a big maybe?

Perhaps we'll find out when the whole series unfolds? There's also a possibility that we won't. I guess we'll just have to wait for more.

This is the 2d time in 3 days that having just one fucksub group subbing an anime has driven me nuts. I wish a better fucksub group will appear and just sub this anime already, and possibly as well as DTB.

Fuck Nino looks amazingly hot with short hair, however I'd like to see her current self tie her hair into a ponytail, I bet she could pull it off damn well.

I'm guessing next episode is going to be Christmas themed, should be interesting, I'm wondering when Ric's dad will come into the mix of things.

Lol, and I remember seeing the kappa in the last preview eating cucumber and acting as if he was smoking weed and yet wasn't even in the thick of it this episode. But yeah, a Christmas episode should be fun and I can somehow see them hanging Hoshi on top of a pine tree. XD

though I'm more interested in knowing how Ric's mom will come into the equation.

I would time the start of the match to be around when Maria stepped of the haystack and enter Stella's range. Cue aura rage.
Stella kept flexing her muscles and threatening Maria until the former pwns her in a few secs. That battle took about 10 seconds max.
I'm just assuming a max of 1 minute since that's when the Metal brothers noticed the nude sheep.

I've recently come to the realization that although I was dumbfounded by all the odd characters the previews showed, (like a kappa and a man with a star shaped head!? Cross dressing nun!?) I am no longer bothered by any of their quirks. Everyone seems normal to me, and I dunno how I feel about that...
