I'm desperately waiting for the last two episodes, I have a vague idea of what happens but I still want to see it all, I'm guessing SHAFT is busy with 'Dance in the Vampire Bund'
Clearly, SHAFT do not know of the word "prioritize". Dance in the Vampire Bund? Hidamari Sketch? --for crying out LOUD-- those two are just
back burner shows in comparison, nothing major in fact.
I really do not mind waiting (if those two remaining episodes would prove to be worth
the 'weight'), it's just that my interest doesn't seem to be holding up very well after so long.

And I think theres at least one or two more books thats out that are yet to be animated, and this year we're getting even more from the author, so maybe SHAFT are waiting for more of the novels to be released?
Or so I've heard that Amazon listed BD and DVD editions of "Kizumonogatari" and "Nisemonogatari" — the prequel and sequel, respectively, to NisiOisin's Bakemonogatari...
And though SHAFT,
per se, was most responsible for Bakemonogatari's fame, I don't really trust them well enough to be able to make another hit out of other-related NisiOisin works; there's no such guarantee. All I'm saying is that it doesn't have to be SHAFT. As long as the material is good, any anime surely will strive just by the correct approach and the right budget; take Katanagatari's first episode.
PS: Just so in case you're still looking for it, sun1.
