One reason as to why Hitagi's hard to read is because she only speaks of what's on her mind and not what's in her heart.
That assumes that she knows what's in her heart.
Let's say that she does, but does that tell us how or what her true feelings are?

She didn't contradict herself. She never said she had experience.
While she didn't necessarily mean anything apart from adding more insult to Araragi's already badly banged-up self-esteem, she undeniably said so and that's a fact.

She acts in a condescending manner. It's obvious. It's understandable. She lived in luxury, thus creating an Oujo-sama personality that was probably kind yet naive. Then the assault happened. The naivety gave way to cynicism. Then her emotions left her.
Just because Hitagi's trauma caused a great shift in her personality, it doesn't mean that putting a bandage on that trauma would restore her old personality.
Point taken but what exactly were we talking about again? How can her cynicism/callousness ever correspond to her honesty?
The very late reply was not caused by any disinterest in the series. I doubt I'll ever find it in my heart to like Hitagi anyway. Not now, when she once again blew my mind by how she "sincerely" expressed her dislike for children; not ever! Just how does someone expect to make/raise a family with this bitch?! -She's beyond saving, not even God(whomever) can help her.
Episode 4 was like the most amusing episode of them all as she had kept her mouth shut for the most part, and thank God for Mayoi and Hanekawa (Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!). The first few seconds of the OP fried some of my braincells, resulting to a minor headache... I'm fine, still breathing. :) Meanwhile, it was quite a nice ED sequence, finally. (Supercell's "Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari" has really grew on me)
If what I've read over at gg is reliably true(or could even be trusted at all), episode 6 wouldn't be airing this week... or something along that line.

"This week: Episode 5 will air.
Next week: Episode 6 will air only on MBS. A “Special Program” will air on the other stations.
Week after next week: Episode 6 will air again on the stations had a special.
Week after the week after next week: Episode 7 will air.
tl;dr = There is no new episode airing August 14th/15th, don’t expect any subs to be released."

This show fries infinite amount of my brain cells every second I watch it, so the opening is really nothing compared to it. :)
Anyway I presonally liked that opening... yeah I was like WHAT THE ...? when I saw it first, but you could expect nothing less from this show.

I believe episode 5 answers that question.

Yeah, my bad. I had only watched episode 3 once then and didn't remember her saying that she "had plenty of experience".

From my perspective, not lying = truth. So you can be sarcastic, malicious, snide, and/or cynical, and still be telling 'your truth'. In any case, I've already conceded the honesty point and decided that she simply speaks her mind, so whatever.

That's harsh. I think I've only heard Shinji get such a high level of dislike.

For a moment, I forgot it was Tsurayu who avoided [gg] like the plague, not you. Anyway, they can be trusted for things like this.
I was waiting for this just before I lost my internet. Same goes for Canaan. I get the internet back and find there are already 5 eps out for each. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing; I can watch 5 eps of each series in a row but then again I had to wait weeks to even watch the first episodes...
It did have but the "I LOVE YOU" complete with the finger-pointing gesture was still kinda unconvincing. Thanks to her very casual delivery, it didn't turn out to be as emotionally invoking as an actual confession should. I would have considered it a joke if not for the after-arc semi-intimate chat they had.
Also, it could have been that I was just so engrossed with Mayoi’s playfulness that I was rather caught off guard. Even the arc's major revelation, which shouldn’t really have been that surprising, shocked me.

Temperamental, as I would prefer it. I do feel somewhat guilty with what I’ve said there and I sincerely would very much like to retract that very statement that you had quoted, and nothing else.

I’m not one to avoid any sub group particularly one that’s very diligent. I meant it as a joke, from the fact that they do troll and tend to relieve stress (/have fun) at the expense of others’ humiliation. (anyway, what are the odds that they’ll release a fake episode 6 before this weekend is over?)
Btw, were koda and Kristen ever able to resolve their differences? (I don’t know and I don’t really care though)
@Teclo: That's one hell of an ordeal that you went through and here I thought you were simply busy dealing with real life matters and stuff. In any case, it sure is nice to have you back with us.

"Should", huh? Considering Hitagi's character and how all forms of media love to play up/over-emphasize/exaggerate things like this, I like it how it is. I'm half-expected a comment from Hitagi mentioning how futile it is to declare your love of someone in high school when you're probably going to wind up breaking up anyway, only to have Araragi point out that that's exactly what she did, only to have Hitagi brush it off with another "crazy virgin/bad luck" line.

You must care, otherwise you wouldn't have asked. Anyway, I don't think so since Kristen hasn't been mentioned on koda's blog nor is she on any of the [gg]-related subbing teams at the moment.

 I knew it sounded a bit presumptuous which may have caused the slight misconception.
It was never my intention to question or say that Hitagi’s overly emphasized, yet casual, confession was out of her character. I was merely expressing how I thought it was rather unbelievable to have had contained any sort of romantic sentiments, if not in meaning, to a certain degree of how the confession was delivered. It felt to me like just about any random kind of gesture that Haruhi would do. Well, I basically had the same reaction as Araragi; surprised/stunned/confused but not as much as to make a fuss out of it.
All in all, that’s just my personal opinion/feel on the matter and nothing that's neither crucial and having any sense of righteousness. (not that I’m an expert when it comes to real life confessions anyway) And for the record, it wasn't like I'm that opposed to it. I did like how it was done though it took more than just that scene/sequence to convince me that she honestly meant it.

It's a good thing to point out that not everything can be determined through simple usage/expression of words. It’s only natural/logical for you to see it otherwise simply because you’re not too familiar with the way that I think.
It was actually more of a rhetorical question than you conceived it was. Perhaps at the deepest part of my subconscious there exists curiosity. But like I said, I don’t really give a damn and my only real reason for bringing that up is to give you the idea that I know a few things about koda (in relation to gg). It was simply but a matter of choosing the format - in which I chose to be of a question, as it may prove to be more informative that way.
@ZeroOBK: It's been settled then. Nice new avi btw... was it just a coincidence that ToLoveRU's sub'd 3rd OVA got out earlier today?
A couple of images in commemoration of the recently concluded arc:
Spoiler:
Just a thought: Anyone else thinks that every single arc will end with Araragi being forcefully separated from his bed by his two younger sisters?
Twist: Could Hitagi be the one who'd do it in the finale?

Hm...you do have a point, and I definitely could see that. I'm wondering if that's all we'll see his sisters do, though, lol. I would definitely be interested in an episode involving the whole family and how it functions on a normal day.
Would you look at that, an episode aired this week after all...

I know for a fact that each of his younger sisters (Karen & Tsukihi) has a story-arc of their own. However, I don't know if Shaft ever had intended to cover theirs. I really wish they could fit every single character arcs from the LN into just 15 episodes but I highly doubt it's even possible to begin with.

Doubtful that there will ever be a "normal" day to spare considering the ratio between the series' total number of (remaining) episodes and arcs (left) to cover.

Hm. Well...knowing Shaft, the might save it for a bonus dvd episode. A lot of companies are doing that nowadays so.
Well, according to the what I've read from the link you provided:

Shinbo confirmed his intent to animate 15 episodes.
That pretty much settles everything. In any case, those 2-3 episodes that wouldn't air shall likely make up the DVD-bonuses or something. Either way, I doubt there's gonna be any more bonus/special episodes other than that. I don't even think that there's any possibility of a second season 2 at this point. (not that I don't like the idea mind you)
Btw, for anyone who likes supercell or the ED theme for the series entitled "Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari", you can download the single HERE. (I've been entranced...) :)
