Best Anime Adapation of a VN

Tons of VNs are anime-fied with a variety of results~

Choose the one you felt was best done, and while you are at it feel free to name the worst too...

My choices -

Best - Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (including Kai and the OVAs)

Worst - They Are My Noble Masters (tbh I haven't played the game but the anime was utter rubbish)

Note for Mods:

Well one bad one popped right into my head just now. Claymore. The manga is so much better than the anime.

A good one in my mind was Akagi the voice acting helped infact add to the suspence of this one. Very good, even though many hate the art style I think the story works well. Just a shame is ended so soon.

Well I have to say that the best VN -> Anime adaptation is Clannad + After Story... I mean not only is it the best VN -> Anime adaptation, but it's THE BEST VN + ANIME I've ever watched.

As for Manga -> Anime, the best I've seen so far is Hellsing.

Clannad+Clannad after story. Easily.

As I haven't played many VNs (though I have MANY installed), my options here are pretty much limited to Clannad. However, don't take this as if I only picked Clannad due to the lack of options; Clannad truly is a fantastic anime and visual novel.

shiro vs shiro fight it will be

and Utawarerumono really liked this one

I liked the VN more. The anime cut some stuff, although not as vigorous as Umineko...

The worst...there are too many bad ones, I can't list them all. ChaoS;HEAd? The anime did NOT do the VN justice.

I can't believe this question has to be asked...Clannad pwns all.

As for the worst...that I watched is F/SN. A real fail of an adaptation...but some say Tsukihime is far worse.

Rather than saying Clannad.. ALL KEY VISUAL ARTS VN THAT HAS AN ANIME. ( AIR, KANON, CLANNAD)

Utawarerumono - It's Great, doesn't deviant too much from the original storyline
Tears To Tiara - The anime did a bad job on making the ending, other than that it's good
White Album - It's not finished yet, but I have to say, it's on a completely different story line with the VN, and so far it' good.

Tsukihime - THERE IS NO TSUKIHIME ANIME
FSN - not good, since it's a forced Fate Route
Chaos;Head - meh, just can't compare it to the VN

other harem VNs like Da Capo, They're My Noble Masters, Tsuyokiss etc are just meh, and only watch it for the lulz.

I like R+V Manga alot more then the Anime but i did like the Anime of Kodomo no Jikan more than the manga.. ^_^
