Could you please rephrase this part for clearance. You previously said "
I want to see Canaan on that pic too" implying otherwise. Although I may have a faint idea as to what you mean, I really can't quite grasp what you're saying. The "
anime character on a pic" that you're referring to should be Canaan right
The phrase "what's wrong with me?" was merely because I've never before wished so strong to see a certain anime character in certain clothing/action. Maybe I should have rephrased it to "now I can really count myself as otaku." It was never meant in a way that I want to see Canaan there despite my
detest towards her.

That is not exactly the case my friend, clearly, you've misjudged my intentions. In the first place, there was nothing there for you nor anyone else to comprehend.
Exaggeration, surely you must be very familiar with that word. Now, I was neither lying nor being completely truthful when I said that. From there, all that there was for you to do is to believe whatsoever it is that you want to. And so you did and that's all there is to it.
I'll take your word, but it's just my nature to take any statement as the authors actual state of mind/opinion. One part is also that in my mother language the word DETEST pretty much equals to HATE. Count in my obvious lacks in english and you get one nice misjudgement there, don't you? :)

Oppose me all you want but I'd still marry them (Alphard & Liang) over and over again if needed be.
Well I have no intention is stopping you in your
wrong decisions, or should I?

As for Canaan, I don't dislike her mainly because she doesn't appeal to me at all. Lol, I just remember Teclo's thread where her gender was even questioned by a few other users and I couldn't really blame them; she really does look like a guy in some angles. (
For Reference)
Huh. I can't really blame him for this, but still...

I can understand your attraction to Alphard, her personality is really interesting and I don't have any problems with her actions.
I'm sure you do but are you really sure about that yourself?
I don't quite get this sentence. Are you reffering to the part "I can understand" or the part "I don't have any problems" ?
hermitVI wrote...
What's with this sudden blowing off steam at my Liang?!
I just can't get to understand her. I probably went
a little overboard with that statement (probably because of her appearance in ep 9, right after which I was writing the post you quoted). My problem is in the fact that I really can't stand people with certain characteristics in RL and if I see someome with the same characteristics in anime or any kind of fictional story (Sakura in F/SN Heaven's Feel route is the same case for example), it really pumps up my ragebar.

Anyway, to defend the integrity of mai waifu whom you just labeled as a "
damn emo freak", I will have to press libel charges; I'll be seeing you in court! I would most definitely say that right in your face but since we can't possibly meet under such circumstances, I'd simply let you have a piece of my mind.
See you in the court then! I'm getting my lawyer ready for this one. :P
hermitVI wrote...
First off, NO, she's NOT a freak.
Say whatever you want but I can't really come up with better word (maybe my bad english once again, dammit). She just appeals like one. I'm really sorry about that sir, but this is the way I see her.
hermitVI wrote...
Heck if she is, what would that make of Canaan, Hakko, YunYun, and the rest of the Borners and Unbloom then? Alright alright, and just maybe even Alphard.
All of those names above have gotten some proper explanations of their life stories (orphan with army training and her sensei killed right in front of her, woman with very nice voice which she can't use to express herself, a girl whose fate was to die young and saw her whole family dead as a child) and I didn't see such for Liang Qi. Oh and Alphard, I still don't know her story, apart from her killing Sham, but she at least acts the way I can comprehend.
hermitVI wrote...
Also, please keep in mind that she's a "psycho" who has been pushed to the very limits of her sanity. While I don't exactly know how she'd come to develop such a deep abnormal LOVE for her sister, her actions are all very justifiable and even understandable. Ever since the very beginning, her LOVE was already abnormally extraordinary. So, does that fact make her emo? Very much, yes. But mainly because her most revered, dearly beloved sister treated her like thrash, threw her away like garbage, and recently even tried to kill her. The FUCK?! Have you got no heart to feel her pain?!
If I had to be her sibling I would probably also treat her the way Alphard does, since, as I wrote above, I'm raging everytime I see someone with Lian Qi's characteristics. She should behave as a proper psycho and try to kill her sister, or stop clinging to her so much.
hermitVI wrote...
And as for her shooting Cummings with airsoft almost every scene they're together, it was never meant to be a comedic act. It was but a representation of Cummings' very own definition of LOVE. Plus most importantly, you seem to have forgotten that Liang is quite the sadist so again, everything she did up to now was natural and was only to be expected of her character. Btw,
Rie Tanaka's fuckin amazing! Thanks to her voice acting, I'm loving Liang even more than each passing day. (gotta give her credit for that, she's effectively portraying the role)❤ :D
It might display anything, but it's still getting old. It was obvious even to me that it wasn't meant as comedial act and Cummings love has been properly displayed, if not by anything else before (and I need to say it was) than ep 9 is proof (the helicopter airsoft guns fight - this time airsoft guns were awesome once again :) )
I must agree with Liang Qi's seyuu being amazing, she's making her a real
freak psycho character.

Please go kill yourself you damn emo freak.
Isn't this a little bit uncalled for. In all fairness, I never once swore at (strong offensive/foul language) nor bad mouthed Canaan, nor Maria for that matter, with such a killing-intent. Chill bro, let's keep our composure shall we.
This was never meant as bad mouthing or displaying killing intent. I just want her to already disappear from my sight (my reasons are above). Furthermore, given my impression of her, I can really see her commiting suicide, probably in form of some suicide attack (I was actually hoping she will try to crash her and Alphard's helicopter, but I was probably asking too much).

On the other hand there's nothing I can find bad about Canaan. Maybe it's caused by the fact that her personality somehow resembles that of my actual gf, dunno. She's just got that character I'm being instinctively attracted to. Not to mention that I can see some resemblance between her and me...
Being good or evil has very little to do when it comes to liking or disliking a character, or for me at least.
Then we are on the same boat. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I really see Alphard as evil character and yet I've never said I hate her, right?
hermitVI wrote...
The fact that I dislike Canaan is pretty much as simple as it gets. I guess it all comes down to a character's general demeanor, personality, attitude, and outlook on things. The more that I relate and see myself in someone, the better chance of me liking him/her, and vice-versa.
That's my case too, I really like her since I can really relate to everything she does, as I said before, she's just got the personality and behavior patterns which really attract me to such person.
hermitVI wrote...
As for your gf, when you said resemble her, you mean in personality or in appearance? In any case, I don't know what to say.. Well, just be a responsible couple, okay?
Mind to explain the last sentence? Just another case of my bad english (Now THIS is getting old, isn't it? ). Oh and she resembles her personality - calm unless she really cares about someone, introverted and speaking only if she has something to say.
And just to let you dig into my personal tastes, her appearance pretty much fits to my image of "perfect looks". Mix it with that personality, make her real and I'm lost forever.

I can somehow understand your hate/rage/detest (mark the right choice) towards her (expecially in the first tro or three episodes, where her significance was somewhere between zero and zero.). If she weren't in the show she wouldn't have been missed...
Are you certain that you can somehow understand me?
I hope I do, try to convince me about the opposite.

Again, you sure you wouldn't have missed her? I would, definitely. If she's not in the series, I wouldn't have enjoyed it this much; Who else is there for me to laugh at? Canaan? She's no fun at all. I suppose I equally did enjoy seeing them beaten down to the ground.
I should have probably rephrased this one too. It was meant that if she appeared in 4th or 5th episode for the first time, it wouldn't hurt anyone.
And enjoying Canaan being beaten... Now you're equal to my advice to Liang Qi. :P

Canaan represents "hard to approach" character
I would beg to differ but since it's quite irrelevant anyway, whatever.
That's the way I see her (remember the first time that reporter tried to talk to her, when she appeared in their new appartment? that's what I'm talking about)

I can feel that her mediation between Yunyun and Canaan will gain it's significance before the show ends.
The significance you spoke of already took its course in episode 6-7. Isn't friendship such a wonderful thing, right YunYun?
Yeah it surely had some significance, but I just get the feeling that Canaan X Yunyun friendship will be even more important in the end. With that said, I must also admit that I'm usually wrong with my "feeling" for those things... well, whatever.

Not to mention that she's been made the reason Canaan even gives the fuck about Ua Virus, nah (at least it seems so).
I'm sure Canaan very much knows about the virus since she's working for NGO, under Natsume. Whether she gives a damn or not is out of the question as long as she can pursue Alphard, at first. But now, it seems like she's found a new purpose and all that she can care about is to be with Maria and to protect her. But whatever path she'd take and for whatever reason it may be, it's inevitable that she must face Alphard.
The fact Canaan knows about Ua Virus is obvious, but I'm sure she would have cared much less about the dead village and that whole trip to there if Maria weren't there. Yes, she obviously wants to kill Alphard but I'm still giving more credits in this case to Maria.

Thanks for being so understanding and at the same time, sorry for the wait. And btw, in an opinion, there's no such thing as a definite TRUTH.
What? You never tried human transmutation to find the truth? Give it a shot, it's cool. :P

EDIT: As for Maria, if you want the truth that much, no, I don't hate her the way that you think I do. In fact, I love her... I SO LOVE TO HATE HER! I'm sooo fond of her getting all beat up, crying, and ultimately dying at the end of the series, along with Canaan of course would be perfect. LololoL
Your psycho waifu shall burn in eternal fire if Canaan were to die!
