My memory's bit rusty because it's been like a month since I last watched Code Geass, and it's been bothering me.


Has it ever bothered other people that after all the Rebellion of Lelouch serie has ended, we still haven't learned C.C.'s real name? After all, Lelouch's father knows her name, with a hint that it's supposedly a beautiful name.

We do however have some stuff to speculate on, for we do know that she was a slave girl during medieval or dark ages. And guessing from what was shown in the anime, brief footages, possibly in the region of southern europe like Spain, southern france, Italy.

And so, it's probably in Latin or French or Italy or Spanish or possibly english.

No, he doesn't. As far as we know, Lelouch was the only person who heard CC's real name.

Though I doubt that Ichirō Ōkouchi even bothered to come up with a ''real'' name for C.C It might be revealed in the manga.

They might just leave it as it is. One of the things the staff left us to speculate with.

Supposedly she played Joan Arc in the past for the manga. I forgot what exactly was she talking about but something of that sort. Oh and as a witch she was burned at the stake so lol.

CG had many plot holes but I don't consider this one of them. Let's face it - the profit from the series and the hype it generated make it nearly impossible not to create another series eventually. CC simply has the highest chance of returning in it (easily adaptable to any scenario, time, place...) so leaving some stuff about her unsolved seems understandable.

Either that or she's supposed to be some very important historical figure (Joan d'Arc has some common points indeed). If so then it will eventually be reveled by other means.

Well she cannot be Joan D'arc because witches was burnt at the stake like lots, not just her. I think there was burning at the stake going on everywhere in the europe.

If anything, Joan D'arc was born in year of 1412 during the midst of One hundred year war of French against english which started at 1337, I just realized it's also year of leet lol. And were pretty much an general.

Other series with C.C. in it did occur to me, but however it seemed unlikely thing to happen. Then again, there's a Nightmare of Nunnally Code geass manga which's set in alternative universe. Bah.

Bah, I think I'd rather they not reveal her name.
No matter what it is, I think it'd be disappointing in some way.

I don't particularly care what her real name is. The creators may or may not have a real name for her (I'm pretty sure they don't), but as dasiek said, they deliberately decided not to reveal it, so I won't question their decision. I will question the other plot holes, but this wasn't one of them. Her not having a name adds to her mystery.

Yeah that's what I was saying. In Nightmare of Nunnally something about being called Joan D'arc or something similar. But that's not the really crazy stuff that's happening. Anyways Nemo explains it in this part of the chapter.

C.C.'s name doesn't matter. I doubt she was anything famous in the past, and her name is probably just a normal name, with no significance. Lelouch knowing her name is important because he's the only person who knows, making him the person closest to her.

If nothing else, the viewer not knowing C.C.'s true name is a fine way of saying that you will never get all the answers.

if they made an epic OVA that talks about CC's past id be glad to know her name but at the moment

yeah just leave it at that. not knowing it makes the name all the greater.

So we can all just stick to our own opinion of a good name for her and just call her that for now . . . Ok now think about the anime and imagine all the important serious scenes and replace the name C.C. with the name you came up with. I'll give you a moment to use your imagination . . . Isn't it funny!?

Not knowing her name kills me, it's the only thing I need to know to complete my "Infinite Knowledge of C.C" document on my computer.
