Is it strange that I find that little mini story thing that they keep breaking to with the guy with the eye patch as interesting as all of the stuff that actually happens in the plot?

Making it a mecha anime was a bad move I recon (though I acctualy don't even know if the original work was a manga, game or what-not). Show me a man who cares more about, par example, the Haikizoku than the Felli scenes. It would be a lot better as a love comedy only.

Hm, this calls for 'fumoffu-ed" series, or at least a nice and long OVA.
