Is ~After Stories~ ever going to be English dubbed? Or did Japan just forget about us, any news?
It's not Japan's decision if a series receives a dub; that's the anime companies. I'm guessing that Sentai Filmworks decided to not dub the second season, (even though they apparently did the first). Maybe this will be a re-release sometime down the road, but I doubt it unless the demand for a dub is high.
And from the sample of the dub that I found, I don't think that's going to be the case...
I don't know why you would want it dubbed when you have subs..I mean most of the times dubs ruin anime cause of the lack of feeling in the voice acting or some things that don't work in english like they do in japanese
I don't understand you guys, I actually like the dubs for Clannad, and other anime. Some do suck however, and alot (including Clannad can be improved). Fan dubs of course are totally out of the question, but it's just my preference with dubs over subs. I figured Sentai or any other company won't work on ~AS~
Hahaha I don't care who is dubbing, Sunoharas voice still bugs me (fits his personality though). I suppose those aren't to bad, but it seems to be hit or miss for me, I don't care to much for those except Kyou, it's really hit or miss. Tomoya's and Tomoyo's Sentai version I don't mind but they could have chosen someone else for Nagisa. Sorry I can't find any videos with Last Exile dubbing, they did pretty well, especially with Lavie, Alex Rowe and Vincent, Clause (and defineatly Alvis) could have been different, and Mullen was pretty rockin', he does especially well in Valkyria Chronicles
"David Williams of the North American anime distributor Sentai Filmworks confirmed on the AnimeOnDVD forums that his company will release the Clannad anime film with English dubbing and subtitles next March. Sentai Filmworks will also dub the Clannad After Story series for release next April. For people who already purchased the series in its subtitled form, Sentai Filmworks will offer an exchange program. The company originally made these announcements at Izumicon this weekend. "
