Dubbed anime shouldn't exist (with 1-2 possible exceptions). Nothing can top the original japanese dubs.
Also it's Clannad ~After Story~ not stories.

For me dubs were only good/passable in the 90's (maybe early 2000 but that's a stretch in some cases) ever since then the feeling has just disappeared, it crumbled up and decomposed into the ground, then the neighborhood dog that took a shit on.

Ah, thanks for this post, of course I DID buy the ~AS~ subbed, and depending on the exchange, I may trade it in, and I doubt having the original un dubbed will gain value ever.

Sentai Filmworks seems to take the minimalist approach for a series like this that doesn't exactly have broad appeal. It makes sense really. Why spend the money on hiring voice actors to record the entire series when they could just slap some subtitles on it and ship it out. It's a lot more cost effective and I tend to think that most people just ignore the dubs anyway.

I was told this is because VA jobs are non Actor's union and Actor's Guild approved when dealing with small Localization companies (even Funimation and 4kids I hear).
This means for many people, if you want to voice act for an anime, you have to say goodbye to ever making it big in film, theatre, or Tv. This destroys the pool of talent available as many people who can great voices come from acting backgrounds.

Offical dubs should die. Fandubs are awesome though XD. Clannad after story dub? Just read the VN... Even though it was kinda labourious with the amount of hours you needed to invest in it :S

However, I usually do everything in my power to avoid dubs... I get a voice attached to a character easily, and personally like having the voice originally intended to be the one attached.
But hey, to each their own.
