God I hope Ushio doesn't die. I got emotional over this. I can't imagine how it'll be if she goes.
I hope those light orbs save her or whatever has to happen.
They made clear reference to it with the firefly. And also in that other scene, I forget exactly where but there are light orbs rising as Tomoya's walking somewhere. I think it was up the hill to meet his grandmother.
Anyway, please don't die, Ushio.

If Ushio dies like in the game I will baw all night. I really don't want her to but there's still 6 episodes left and I know it's gonna happen. Key really knows how to pour on the sadness so you break out in tears.

There's a 10/90 chance that KEY will change the ending and use the orbs to save Ushio

Worst case scenario that I see is that Key just decides that some random magical orbs are just too far fetched and after Ushio dies they just decided to end it with the message they give off as "Humans are strong willed beings" or some junk along those lines. I hope that doesn't happen but then again i don't really like the idea of the magical orbs being the answer to everything like in the game. I want it to end by Ushio getting sick like in the game and she some how survive unrelated to the orbs.

That probably won't happen cause key doesn't have much of a reason to deviate from the games story. Still I can wish. As long as at least Ushio survives and is able to live with Tomoya I'll be satisfied with it.

I already said what I think is the most likely way of her living. She'll get sick and Tomoya will take her to the same place that Akio brought Nagisa or somewhere that's symbolic to him and pray. Then the light orbs come and absorb into her or something. Then the robot and the girl in the other dimension fly away or something. A lot of or somethings :lol:

That would be a satisfying ending in my opinion, it's just that if the anime continues to follow the game then Ushio will die and later a time warp of sorts will happen thanks to the magical orbs or whatever they are (wiki says they're material form of happiness) and Nagi won't die when she gives birth to Ushio.

To be honest I don't really want that ending cause I always had the feeling of it was there sort of for the sake of a good ending. Code Geass is a good example of a ending that was really good but wasn't a happy ending of sorts. But magic, time travel and what not just seems lame in my opinion. It might just be that I'm biased by knowing the ending of the game and I just want something new.

I agree with your opinion of time warping. It wasn't fun when FAKKU did it and wouldn't be fun if Clannad did it. :lol: And I don't want a happy ending for the sake of a happy ending either.
I have confidence that they'll pull off a great ending though.

Judging by the illusionary world scenes and the fact that the episode title screen shows the materialized happiness, the girl in the illusionary world will grant a wish for Tomoya. That wish we do not know yet. Most likely Key will attempt to show everything that happened in the game so probably with Ushio in his arms he will call for Nagisa and be sent to the moment of her death. This time though, instead of thinking that he should never of met her, he will instead call out for her. After that is up to Key whether or not they show any more with them as a family.

See that's what I don't want. The time warp. I just hate the idea of it. It's just like wtf time warp? That sure is convenient. I know the Clannad world isn't without it's anomalies what with the Fuko ghost and all. But a time warp out of nowhere is just too convenient is the word I keep coming back to. It's how the game ends I know but that doesn't mean they necessarily can't change it for the game. Also happiness being the cause of this? Really? I never knew what it was but when I read it off of wiki I just thought "really?" That's weird for the large amount of unhappiness that's been around lately in the Clannad and illusionary world. Tho I have a feeling that a carbon copy of the games ending is what's going to happen.
