Clannad After Story

oh well, i cried at both animes so ya

Clannad after story was really sad, but i've never watched kanon, is it any good? can someone tell me about it?

It's good, but it's nowhere near the same level as Clannad. If you liked Clannad, you'll probably like Kanon as well.


As for Clannad: After story, I just finished watching it today. I watched episode 18 all the way to the end, plus the bonus episodes with the Kyou arc. Holy fuck it was depressing, great anime and very sad, but very depressing.

But for all that mega-depression, it was even happier at the end.

Yea thankfully. Auu~ ^_^ lol.

OMG, how did you survive? I was crying for days after most of the episodes from 18 on, and I definitely don't think I could watch all those episodes right in a row. I needed that weekly break in order for my tear ducts to recover.

It was very depressing and tear jerking...I procedeed to talk to some people on msn to get my spirits up from the "down" feeling I was experiencing.

Mm. I don't blame ya. I had to make sure that I snuggled extra hard with my boyfriend those nights so I would be alright.

You guys should try watching those sad moments without the background music. Really, I'm always surprised of the great importance music has in such scenes. It really makes everything much sadder and tearful.

Have watched the whole series, and it's a very sad anime and i love it

just listen to the music, even without the visual it still felt struck by it :O. Clannad showed me how important these subtle things are.

The Kyou special was bad. The Kyou route is too good to be contained in one episode.


Kyou route needs a MOVIE

And here's me thinking that her route is the worst one in Clannad....they should have made a Kappei OVA instead. Or Sanae, or even better, Akio.

She is one of the most desired girls in the anime, and most of the doujins out there of Clannad focus on her and her alone. Might not be the most touching story, but people still want her the most.

Popularity rules, huh? Well, that's part of the reason. Simply put, her character is really nothing special, and her route too. I prefer Clannad to be an anime that focuses entirely on the superiority of the story...and this OVA goes against that. x_x

edit: But I agree, Kyou is a great turn-on.

Oh, I definitely agree. The music was so appropriate in some sequences. Even to this day, if a certain track comes on, I'll get a little teary-eyed.

I can't hear the dango song without feeling a wave of emotion. I can't believe how powerful that song has become in my life. It doesn't even matter who sings it either - one of the most moving times what when Tomoya sings it to ushio.

Dawwww. Just remembering that warms my heart.
