@ hitokiri-ryu: Okay. I just find people who dislike both R1 and R2 Suzakus irk me. Throughout all of R1, I heard people hating on Suzaku then, and the Suzaku now is pretty much what they wanted.

I found it pretty easy to hate both versions.

It's like...

R1 is ingesting massive amounts of sugar all at once. Too much of a good thing.

and

R2 is like turning around and gorging on salt. Better in some books, but again, way too much.

He goes from "Let's change it from within...Together! *twinkle*" to "Ugh...Let's change it from within, while cheating, lying, and stabbing friends in the back. Mwahahahahah! *evil glare*"

Hate? too strong. get incredibly exasperated at his "I don't believe in your methods"? quite possible. I never hated him till today.

Well, seeing how Euphie was betrayed and murdered by Lulu....It's understandable that his methods would change considerabley.


Now his method is like "Let's change the government from the inside, but fuck you Lulu. You killed and blamed Euphie, so now I'll do anything to rid "Zero" of existence."

Yeah, his methods are definitely mad dick-like, but justified in a kind of warped teenage kind of way. Both him and Lulu aspire to reach a noble end, but the means by which they are trying to get there aren't right on either side. Lulu has the idea in his head that its necessary to get there by force and destroy anything in his path. Suzaku started out noble, except for a few major things that he could have done different. He definitely started out on the right path, but circumstances forced him to cut corners and after a while there were no corners left, if that makes much sense. The point is that his fuck ups were a result of not taking into account all the things that could go wrong, or even acknowledging that on his path unforeseen shit could happen. It all fits into the theme of naiveté.

Euphie and had the right idea. I mean she was a little naive, but it could have worked. As for Nunnally, she's young so that might work against her in the way of vision, no pun intended, but it remains to be seen.

To add to the discussion about Suzaku, Lelouch didn't kill or betray Suzaku because he didn't have to. Lelouch just needs to get to the Emperor. However, the same cannot be said for Suzaku. Lelouch was Zero, who was the center of the rebellion, and so Suzaku would have to kill or betray Lelouch even if Euphie was never killed. And both Lelouch and Suzaku are firm in their stances that their way is the "right" way.

That may be the scariest/awesomest thing I've watched for about 36 hours now.

On a different note, How does the Mordred get away with carrying that much firepower?

Surely that must eat up Energy Fillers with a passion?
