any1 of you ppl seen the movie yet? havent seen it myself but the trailer wasnt soo bad at all =)

I read the manga first, then watched the anime and then the Live Action series.

As you can probably tell by that, I'm pretty impressed by the series. By the overall concept of diffrent views on how to fight evil in the world and how much you can do for it.

The only thing I disliked was the ending. It felt kinda forced, as if the writer just needed a way to end the Manga without getting on society's bad site.

how was the live action series in your opinion? havent heard anything from any1 who has seen it

live action movies had a different ending, i actually think the movies ending are better than the anime. But anyways, the live action has crappy special effects and a few lame actors. other than that, its pretty good.

I haven't seen much of the anime, but I read the manga some time ago.

Wow... what can i say... it's just a damn beautiful piece of work and mind blowing anime. I've never in my life felt so WTF OMGZ WOW after every episode (beofre "the" moment that kinda broke). I havnt watched to movie yet but the anime is just... Good lord.

The live action movies were pretty amazing. Too bad they were such a low budget production and some of the actors didn't do really well. Also some moments just didn't have the same impact to them, e.g. "Just as planned".

But they had a nice pace, a good varying storyline and an alternate ending I liked better tahn the anime one. I don't want to spoil it for you, but I can tell you as much as it was pretty amazing.

Some people I know couldn't watch it since it had to many Japanese people for their tastes, but well.. the story takes place in Japan and it's a Japanese production. You have to expect it to look different in a live action production compared to an anime were all characters look western.

Deathnote was really popular at the anime festival i attended this year. Everyone that i know seemed to agree that L was their favorite character. Personally, i usually only read romances, but once i started reading Deathnote, i couldnt stop. i fell in love with it.

Fantastic anime, but I didn't completely agree with the ending. I was a Kira follower all the way! 8)

I love and anime/manga but HATE the ending -_- well at least the manga ending was a little better -___- but still sucked.

I watched Bleach up to eps 80-ish on YouTube, with Eng subs. Loved it untill then, right after he rescues Rukis.

Death Note is amzing, so brilliant, witty, and intelligent. Light is my man! But also, I liekd it up to the point when L is no more. After that it's crap.

You gotta keep watching it though. I'm serious, just hang through all the bullshit, because it really does get good. The new filler arc, not so much the whole thing with the new Captain, although the new episode just came out and I think the 2 side stories are about to merge, but thing with the assassins with the Bakkoutou being sent to take out Lurichiyo is fucking nuts. I'll be the first to say that its kind of typical Shounen anime bullshit, but Bleach just puts a really crazy spin on it that gets you fucking hooked.

If you're not for fillers, check out the Arrancar arc. It gets so intense at times. Sometimes you have to keep an open mind, which is kind of hard for any human being to do, but its actually really good. I have a feeling that pretty soon they're going to pick up with the main story again. I hope they include the whole "Turn Back the Pendulum" sub plot that they had in the manga because that was so fucking great.

Yeah, I'm a hardcore Bleach fan. I'm not a fanboy, but I'm definitely totally trashed. So, if you say anything to me to my face, I probably would castrate you for no other reason than my own enjoyment. Wait... nevermind.

i TOTALLY agree with you about it ending at chapter 59. after kira beat L, the series died for me. i read a bit more of it, but i got tired of seeing Mello's ugly face.

this is a repost from my rant in general.

i dont know about everyone else, but i fucking hated the second arc. to each their own of course, but i would have been content if the series had ended after the first one. i just thought lights final curtain was caused by more of an excuse then anything else, i mean

... but what can i say? its done and over with. the second arc was good, but nothing will top the metaphorical mental battle of the two l's.
