Well it seems they had decided not to sub the second season before Xros Wars had ended so probably not related. Also they said some of them would be helping Wild Bunch who are doing the best quality subs for the second season.
Right now I think if someone liked the first season they will be frustrated by season two and if they didn't like the first season they might be ok with season 2. Just completely different shows despite having the first season's male lead still part of the group. Serious war in the digital world vs battles in a real world setting, hunting/catching digimon vs obliterating them, etc.
A couple episodes should be able to tell you if it's worth watching or not. It's pretty much been at that level for every episode to this point.

Like most other people, I stopped watching after Season 2, but I gave Tamers a chance. My review? It's pretty fuckin' good.
I haven't watched any other season yet.

In terms of seasons you can't beat the first one. Tamers was definitely a good season to watch as well.

The 1st season is always the best.. I get the sense of epic when I watch wargreymon and metal garurumon appear for the 1st time when Im young

For example, the flashbacks, they always said something different to what they said in the episode they said it in. They left moderate plotholes, like one of the characters was supposedly shit at singing but later had an amazing singing voice which was used to wake up some fat fucker, there were wayyyyy too many digivolving sequences, and some errors were even graphical.
Even as a kid, all that ruined it for me.

I never really cared about flashbacks so that never really bothered me. Plus just have to treat it like a memory in which you don't remember word for word :).
Not sure what you are remembering when it comes to the singing part. Everyone else sucked and the one who didn't was constantly stalling to enjoy the luxuries. Don't remember a time prior to that episode where they established her as a poor singer.
They had a lot of digimon, can't be helped that they had a lot of sequences. Maybe people like you are why other seasons had much smaller casts.
Sorry some minor things ruined it for you, but certainly doesn't change my view that it was the best season.

Some were minor, some were major, but there was still a hell of alot of them.
Still enjoyed it though...
