Well most of the time I hate when only the main character can win the battle and not the entire world military, but the only portrayed I can think of I hate is from ROD the U.S President I was like really? Is it really gonna be like this?

Everyone does it; everyone has to take it when someone else does it to them. And on the Hiroshima comment, a few stereotypes aren't nearly as bad as, say, I don't know, a bombing?

Yup. You should read it, lots of fun. As for the context, I think it involved some american soldiers starting needless fighting while stationed in Japan, or something.

In all honesty when i see this it doesn't even phase me. So I just personally laugh it off and continue on with my life without taking offence. But this is what i think could possibly going through there head either -

1. There still venting about the war they lost so they portray us as stupid and them as extremely intelligent and civilized.

or

2. The Manga author has some personal beef with Americans or gangis in general or something along those lines.

But out of the two options i think 2 applys more then one in this day and age.

Anyways i think that about sums it up from that perspective i think.

It's not fair to get pissed at anime and manga series that make inaccurate assumptions or say mean shit about America. How often do American TV shows, movies, and such say bad shit about other countries?

As for the comment about them being mad about Hiroshima, that's fucking low. Ever think that they could hate us for the same reasons the rest of the world hates us? No, it has to be because we bombed two of their cities. What-the-fuck-ever.

Besides, I doubt Japan is picking on America. They have a history of not being nice to foreigners. Well, Americans are foreigners.

I don't think I really take the term "American" to heart so it doesn't bother me when someone insults America or our culture. No need to be upset because someone insulted the made-up name of the giant floating rock we live on :lol:

I actually find them quite humorous, and they're generally intended to be that way. I don't have a very high opinion of a portion of the American populace myself, though.


That seems like a false positive to me. Also, putting that statement in a thread that highlights what you might feel as an injustice to America seems a bit hypocritical.
