Does watching Pokemon make you childish?

Nope. Only if you are an actual child. D&P has been enjoyable for me so far, I have no idea how I survived through Advanced and Battle Frontier though.

I loved everything up until Advance Adventure/Battle Frontier. I just didn't get into it, but the battles were cool. Diamond and Pearl is actually pretty good considering. Though the show itself is very predictable, in a way you can compare it to questing in any MMO today. (Random Person needs help! Go do this. You did it thanks! the end)

[Pokemon] has a problem! We need to [Insert Obvious Problem Solver]. Dialogue a joke here or there then [Team Rocket Failed Scheme Go!] Followed by (usually always) Pikachu blasting them off.

Though Gym battles episodes and Pokemon League episodes are a blast to watch, they've really tweaked and added some nice effects since the olden days, take some time on youtube and watch good stuff. Its pretty much all I watch now and the episodes where one of the main characters pokemon evolves/get a new one.

Well, I haven't watched any of the recent episodes of Pokemon, (but I still play the games and watch the movies), but I would never call it "childish." Sure, the Pokemon franchise as a whole was geared towards children, but nowadays, even parents play Pokemon with their kids, and I'm pretty sure that some watch it with their children as well. And life's too short to worry about what other people think, anyways. Just keep on watching to your heart's content!

I think that if anything is childish, it's being afraid to watch something you like because of what others may say. Be who you want to be and watch what you want to watch hehehe x)

I think you'll enjoy life better that way, if you do want you want, regardless of what others may call it.

I watched all Pokemon series until junior high. That time, I wasn't shy and I'm proud of being Pokemon fans and Pokemon Card Battler.
However, Pokemon series nowadays don't interest me. I dunno why... Now, I prefer Digimon to Pokemon. Maybe because Pokemon is too childish for me... Or maybe I'm not interested anymore in the monsters and the story...
I just dunno why...

Watching Pokemon means only one thing: you have nothing better to do. The idea of capturing monsters for duel is still intriguing, but it is wasted on a crappy storyline. Seriously, how many more times more must I watch team rocket blasting off to the horizon. I still enjoy the game, though I wish it'd transfer to the PSP.
