From this season...Omamori Himari continues to depress me. I love the manga. I hate the anime. I didn't think I could hate an adaptation of an awesome manga to the extent that I do. I don't like the character designs, I HATE Yuuto's voice, and there are far too many inconsistencies.I do like Himari's voice to an extent, and LOVE Shizuku's voice. It was EXACTLY what I imagined it'd be.
Is the manga in anyway like the anime? I've only watched 2 episodes of the anime and it seemed like the typical love anime story to me, but if the manga is any better I'd like to check it out.

Almost every game to movie, manga to anime, anime to live action, book to movie all suck balls. That's pretty much the truth. There are rarely any animes or etc. that meet up to teh standards of the original. OVAS sometimes redeem themselves and sometimes they are done really well done, fit for the series. Ex. Hellsing

Grey blood? That's just great. But what really made this adaptation suck is that it ended before the really good stuff happened (in the manga). So, we don't get to see the kickass fights of the last ten volumes or so animated. It's terrible.
Agreed! That really pissed me off that they did not finish the series to the end.
Also the negima adaption was a huge fail. They took a huge turn and just F up the whole series.

The last episodes - or "season" if you would actually call two episodes a season - of School Rumble. It was a giant poo ball flung in the face of a wonderful show and series.

To be honest I think someone who hasn't read the manga may enjoy the anime easily. It's just I starte dwith the manga first, and how they dealt with the story in the anime made it look weaker than it actually is.

I stated off with the manga, And the anime seems dull, not enough to draw me in like the manga did.

Fate/ Stay Night anime was vastly inferior to the VN. I don't expect anime to always be better or as good as the VN or manga like Clannad or even the level of naruto where at least it is done at a decent level. However, the quality had a major drop off and the story didn't flow right at all. Some episodes had nothing important in them while others where trying to squeeze in too much. Plus the animation made Tohsoka look wierd in my opinion.
^This. The anime fucking failed. Completely. I almost threw my computer out of the window when I watched it.

I too found Rosario + Vampire to be very disappointing. I watched the anime and then read the manga. As I read the manga I was like "why couldn't the anime follow this, it's awesome!"
Claymore was decent. Would have been better if they were more faithful and didn't do a horrible anime original ending since the manga is still publishing.

Rave Master, was just horrible anime, great manga.
I'm okay with mangas being made into anime
but when it becomes american-ized, it ruins it.
The voices, and the censoring take out so much context.
Including: Everything on Adult Swim.

I'm watching the Anime and reading the Manga versions of Dance In The Vampire Bund at the same time, and I must say I like the Anime better. The Manga's art is rather bland if you ask me, and the story ain't much to write home about either (I've just started watching and reading both, mind you). The Anime's art is excellent, because SHAFT is doing it, and so far I like how SHAFT has modified the story somewhat.
A true bad adaption would be the Negima Manga and the Negima 1st season Anime. They tried to adapt the Manga's storyline, and they just fail misiribly with shortened story arcs (the Kyoto field trip arc is ONLY 2 EPISODES) the non-canon ending (if your going to do original content, do ALL original content like the Negima!? 2nd season or the Fullmetal Alchemist Anime) and the horrible, HORRIBLE art (the colors looked like they were washed with bleach, and the lines, faces, and just everything was horribly off).

The Negima OADs weren't too bad. They kept with the manga pretty well. Animation quality was pretty damn good.

I would say the DOA movie. It had story I'll give it that. The character adaptation was a complete F A I L!

The recent Street Fighter movie, Legend of Chun Li or w/e. They made Balrog act like a ninja crashing through windows and adding "buffalo" sound effects for when M.Bison did a kick or something lol.
