Fullmetal Alchemist Brother Hood What's The Point?

I saw the first series from start to finish a dozen times on adult swim


So far Brotherhood now on Saturdays 11PM CST adult swim


It's just pretty much the same exact scripted scenes

I know what's going to happen before it happens?

*boring*


I hope it finally changes up later on

so it feels like um you know an actual new series which so far it is not!

The beginning is somewhat the same but after that it goes in a completely different direction. Not to say they other ones weren't but the two recent episodes (47 and 48) were phenomenal and definitely worth it.

edit: wtf is with the random smiley in my 48 )? Wish I could turn those off.

I'm hoping that it doesn't deviates from the original manga story line.

The real point is, it's the anime. You see,hear all they emotions and events. words in the manga doesn't convey strongly as an anime

And I have a feeling that it end at the same time with the manga OR stopped close to the end and then make an OVA about the Last chapters from the manga.

It's definitely better than the first anime IMO

Yes I will admit that when I saw the first episode I thought it was going to be the same. So after that I stopped watching for a while, but then I decided to start watching it again. And I was surprised it was not the same at all. It was more like the manga series. And now I cannot get enough of it, hahahaha....

As it has been stated; It starts of very similar, but then goes in an entirely different way from the first anime and instead follows the original story of the manga more closely.

the first anime release sucked. Brotherhood does justice to the series.

Brotherhood is much better then the original imo, it's just more interesting and action packed. Not saying that the original is bad, the original is awesome but Brotherhood is even more awesome.

The beginning isn't extremely exciting, but trust me, you will not regret it once you get to the 30s and 40s. Fucking awesome series; intense cliffhangers, etc.

The first part of Brotherhood is the same as the first FMA anime (because around that time, the FMA manga, wasn't finished yet). Around episode "I forgot" the story really veers out of the first FMA anime and into the already completed manga (I think it was around the one where Ling shows up or something).

I've seen both and it does get very different as you get closer to the end. I skipped the first few episodes since i've already seen the first Anime. As to which of them is better that is largely up to opinion. Essentially Brotherhood follows the Manga much more closely than the first Anime did.

I enjoyed watching the Original FMA and when i heard they were making one based off the manga i was stoked, and it has not made me disappointed at all in any way, I have enjoyed the series so far and is probably one of my top ten favorites to this day.

It's the same concept, but completely different with more characters.
Much more accurate to the manga.
