While it was good, the ending sniping scene was way too predictable. Atleast they could have made it more dramatic, I mean he made the shot like he did it in his sleep. They didn't even need the spartan to make the shot.

God, that death scene of the Spartan was so lame, if I had to complain about anything. Other than that, not bad. The voice-acting was pretty good.

As for inconsistencies, such as the Japanese culture visible on the Covenant garb and weaponry, no Spartan would have hair length as long as hers, as it goes against regulation length. Was she packing a Mark IV armor? I don't remember her having shields, which would explain why her armor got easily damaged and taking a fatal blow to the head from a gravity hammer.

And where did we find out the Spartan II's codename? I can't remember where they mentioned it.

Oh, and you know this how? You've seen other spartan females before?

It's stated in one of the books which one I can't remember. But it's pretty obvious otherwise since that amount of hair would surely come in the way inside the helmet.
Guess why most of the worlds countries doesn't allow their soldiers to have long hair.

They have it short so enemies can't pull your hair back to slit your throat.

@neko-chan: It was stated in the book The Fall of Reach. If you ever looked at the Haloverse, all military personel have short hair, maximum shoulder/neck length like Miranda Keyes. Having long hair is only a liability on the battlefield, common sense would dictate. If I remember correctly, Kelly-087 had a buzzcut with three lines running down her head. Linda-058 had read hair that was cropped very short. Long hair would only mess with a sniper's vision.

But yeah in general for ALL military personal, not just Halo, it's short because of that original reason. So your enemies can't sneak up behind you and pull your hair back to slit your throat.

Actually it's more because long hair equals problems with the hygiene when you're out on the field ( not forgetting how hot it can become at certain places ) and that long hair tends to get in the way of your eyes.

Also most armies tends to look better and more formal with short buzzed hair.

Not saying that your reason is wrong though I doubt that would be the main reason for the soldiers have short hair.

Anybody got any idea of the next one yet?

@Tenriku: actually, it's a common sense rule in hand-to-hand combat to not have long hair, as GSDAkatsuki explained. In any combat condition/situation, long hair acts only as a liability.

Just watched it, it was pretty good i must say.
Looking forward to the next one.

The detail and animation was top notch but i couldnt say that for the plot since its too short, predictable and the ending was shit. O'Brian is the stereotype "im so rough dont save me till the end tough guy", i hate him. The first ep left me not un satisfied but not satisfied either, its just gave me a good time watchin it and thats all i can say, though i'll be watchin the Duel later (when im uncapped) and hope its better, though the previews are leavin me doubtful.

Im a huge Halo fan but not a fanboy and im not flaming anythin, just a honest
opinion.

Also, long hair is a distraction in the field, it also attracts lice and prob field of vision (not to mention it makes you look like a damn hippie!)
