Maybe that's why I've been re-watching Clannad so much? I mean, I'm not against the whole movement, but I stay away from the series with to much to show and not enough to tell. To me anime is all about a good story line. Or even something that is suspenseful. (Like Ghost Hunt, not much story development, but it keeps me on the edge of my seat.)
I think the Dance in the Vampire Bund is pushing it, but I'm hoping that the plot picks up. It's kind of dead right now.
I also think that why would we need fanservice 3-7 times an episode when we have hentai?

I think I may be a little late on this but has anyone noticed that a few of the new 2010 anime titles are sorta pushing the boundaries on censorship. Like seriously Japan is stepping their game up on this. Ladies vs Butlers, Seikon no Qwaser, and Dance in the Vampire Bund(to a somewhat lesser extent though) are the new shows that apply.Dance in the Vampire Bund is ecchi in the manga also....

I like to think of this argument as the same as the drinking law in the States. The law is there because of the problem, but actually the problem is there because of the law. When "underage" people get a hold of the stuff they go crazy on it because its something you can't do normally. My point is that now that the rules are starting to become more relaxed, everyone is "binge drinking" on tits and tats. Hopefully in the future things will mellow out and the shows will focus more on the story than breasts.
But I am hoping a side effect of this will be Japan allowing uncensored, high quality hentai in the near future =D
