Why would anime be prohibited in the first place?
I would be upset if it was, but I could get over it pretty quickly...
Ive seen most of the anime that I want to see, and Im currently only watching 1-2 per season. And these anime arent anywhere near the quality of what I was watching 5-10 years ago. Not even the good current shows can compare.

I would obviously take advantage of the situation and try to profit from this horrible catastrophe. It is true when something is banned, there will always be a black market selling the items at a higher price. Knowing this, I will position myself as a black market seller of anime and used that as my stepping stone. After I would make my own anime mafia, where I will use my underground influence to keep safe all the famous anime producers whom will work for me in exchange for living. Finally, when either the current government/dictatorship is overthrown I should use my immense fortune to but my way into politics and become a corrupt politician. Yeah..that sounds awesome.

Depends on how severe the punishment is for getting caught with or watching anime, if they talkin Jail time for watching a episode of Bleach, then like dude said life goes on, but if its some shit like a ticket yea im Black Marketing mine.

If it's something small then of course I'll still find a way to watch it but if I'm going to jail over watching an episode of something then screw that. Then again I've got an entire wall downstairs filled with bootleg copies of movies so I might be wrong about what I'd do.

All the items you own will skyrocket in price due to this action. These items will be a severe rarity unless the banned includes OTAKU items but then the black market will develop and prices will still increase geometrically.

If anime was prohibited it would not only affect Japan's economy, but jails world wide would get crammed from all the people being arrested for being caught with the possession of anime. After seeing how much money is being spent on persecuting and jailing people for having anime, the world would then realize what a stupid idea it was in the first place and anime would again be allowed in most nations.
