I've been thinking about this " anime teenagers well yeah "

why is every main characters in anime are teenagers?
well at least there are BADASS not a pussy
but sometimes pussy characters became badass characters.

Not every main character is a teenager. It depends on the genre of said anime. If it's a school life anime, of course the characters will be teenagers. Who would watch an anime where characters aged between 20-35 are still in high school?

I'll use a title as further evidence. Hellsing. Is Alucard a teenager?

I seriusly want to see a school life anime where the main character is a teacher and the story is about his everyday life. Nothing weird, just a good slice of life anime with a minor drama, some romantic stuff with maybe a female teacher. Yeah, this could be a good story. :)

That's just how mainstream works. It gives kids a false hope that they could someday "become" that character. (example:Naruto,Bleach)

Yeah, I guess you could see it that way. Making the main characters teenagers makes it easier for the kids to relate to them.

There'll always be teens involved even if the MC is a grown up man. If an anime covers the story of a male teacher, chances are high he will be romantically involved with on of his students. Hell, i'm sure there are tons of mangas out there related to that. And even more H-mangas lol.

Now if, for example Naruto would be a man arround his thirties the story would be a bit *more* boring. don't get me wrong, I like that anime, but as every shounen fight anime it gets repetitive after some time.

Say what, make something fresh. Like putting the bad guys up as main characters to see their side of the story. It would a fresh start after the crapload of fighting animes that are about how the good guys always win with the power of friendship and good hearth. I would watch such anime.

Some not all characters, and there are protagonists like that to appeal to young people as a way to relate to the audience. It's not just young people either, it all depends on which crowd you're going after, like Naruto might appeal to teens(16 and under) while Hellsing would appeal to older crowds(17+).

I agree. It's all down to the target audience.

That might be the reason why most anime have teenager characters/protagonists, for the most people who would watch anime, (world wide) are more than likely going to be teenagers. I might be wrong but It could be anything.

But yeah, I feel like anime should have more Badass main characters, not wimpy ones like Shinji. Sure, the author wanted to make it more realistic, but in fact, its less realistic since Shinji has more mental illnesses than ******

Pussy Characters turning into Badass characters takes time and development. It's a bit easier to just have a badass character doing awesome things rather than have the fans complain about pussy characters who later turn into badass characters.

People don't like seeing the drama of a man. If it's an action manga, they don't like emotion. That's what slice of life and dramas are for.

It's simple; the female characters of that age are going to be the hottest and most fappable.

So you want GTO minus the awesome?

And I was about to suggest GTO. As far as slice of life animes go though, I'd suggest Welcome to the NHK. Try stuff outside of what is popular, you'll find more than teens outside of the hyped stuff.

That is what the OVERLORD and Disgaea series are about.
