Well, we know Negi doesn't end up with Yue.

The most likely candidate to be Negi's waifu is none of the main characters. Definitely not Asuna.

Although this is just a set up chapter, I do like how Yue's pwning that Chichigami girl the same way Negi defeated her 150 chapters earlier.

Yeah, I guess that's true. Maybe my expectations for the last 2 chapters are high.

I hope it's Akira who will be Negi's partner.

Rakan is badass for teaching Chichigami.

Nodoka is still the girl I'm praying is his wife.

Not going to lie. When I saw Yue I was immediately reminded of Rin from Mnemosyne. Not to mention what a babe she's become. <3

Though the drinking thing is just silly. I'm still disappointed at the conclusion. He either needs to write another story from the perspective of Nagi or have a side story with adult Negi searching for Nagi.


Both stories need more Rakan.

I hope for whatever reason that Ken decided to go along with this, that he makes the last chapter at least a double length finale, with a group picture to (out)match that of Love Hina's ending.

That's going to be tough. Love Hina's ending imho had a very good ending. Good closure on most of the girls, not to mention the last three chapters were probably the best. The comedic effect when Seiji finds out the truth and grandma leaves the rest of the girls in confusion. The time jump after Naru writes her dream on that paper airplane. Finally the ending with the new girl at Hinata-sou grabbing the bouquet.
I don't think Ken can top Lova Hina's ending at this rate. Imo he needs like a 50-70 page chapter to wrap EVERYTHING UP. Nothing half-assed like what he's done unfortunately for this series.

Final chapter is out. Sorry to disappoint, but it's not a double length issue. Not a bad ending, but not as strong as Love Hina's I have to say.

Regardless of the ending not being as good as Love Hina's, the 9 years of Negima have been great. Ken has my respect.

Well the dream is over, I've been reading this manga for 4 years and it brings tears to my eyes to see it end. And im still unclear on who negi loves, so if anyone noticed hints that insinuates his love please tell me.

Well the manga is over. It's a nice closure but I hope there is a spin-off or an extra chapter as to who Negi ends up with, details to how they saved Nagi and maybe details about Negi's mother.

A page about Anya in this last chapter would have been nice.

This ending is both unclear and
I'm sorry if this offends anyone. Absolutely horrid. It's so vague and to the point all emotion is completely absent. Not only that they STILL didn't say who the girl was which still irks me to eternity. Anya is missing in thin air, and I'm assuming none of his students are his lover. My disappointment is ever-growing.

Well, this wraps up the manga. And to think, some years back I was watching AMV Hell 3 and became intrigued in Mahou Sensei Negima and then soon anime in general.

I am totally pissed that Akamatsu is ending this series, it just feels like something is off, I mean you just can't end an arc thats taken half of the series up so abruptly and think that it won't feel rushed. But putting aside my personal bias, there are very...very loose ends in this ending. Some of them I thought should be very important

1) What happened to Arika? Surely she is not dead, after Nagi had been absorbed into the Lifemaker she must have gone into hiding or something, or at least tell us she is dead
2) Why wasn't Negi freeing Nagi from the grasp of the Lifemaker shown, Negi's quest for his father is the main goal of the entire series, how could you (asking Akamatsu here), as an author leave the main plot...with a hole in it
3) Obviously who Negi's love interest was in chapter 353
4) What happened to Anya, she just sort of disappeared after the Magic World arc, cmon Akamatsu

Damn...

I'm saddened the manga ended, but it gave SOME closure. I'm just glad the manga managed to keep my interest all the way through to the end: there were very little dead chapters (imo), the action was fast-paced and the battles were amazingly well-drawn. This one will definitely get the full collection in my shelf, and I'll make sure my kids know about what an awesome series this is.

It was a good run, and I'll keep the faith for some spinoffs or even a continuation once Akamatsu comes back from his well-deserved vacation.

Well, we know it's definitely not Nodoka, Asuna, Ako or Eva. Which means he could have possibly picked the incest route and gone to Takane or Anya.

Meh, at least this ending isn't as unclear as Mass Effect 3.

I'm crying. Since the appearance of that nigga I had HUGE expectations for this.

To see it end in such a way... wtf Akamatsu wtf.

After 8 long years *sniff* Mahou Sensei Negima has come to an end. I still remember the day I saw that copy of Negima Volume 1 on the New Series shelf of a comic book store, bought it, and enjoyed it. And kept reading. When the volumes went slow due to Del Rey's, I went to the scanlation sites to satiate my reading needs.

After 355 chapters. I don't have a right to complain how Akamatsu ended it - it was his work of love, and who am I to criticize it. I liked how he gave the closure that made everyone happy in the story, and for all the volumes I'd treasure #38 the most after #1. I'd preorder it once it becomes available.

So Negima, school's closed. Thanks for the sweet, savory, risque, suspenseful and funny memories.

Looking forward to Ken Akamatsu's next work. I think it's going to be a good one!
