Sorry but Kira is far from "epic". The guy is a emotionless robot by the time Destiny hits. The epic title can go either way for these two. Domon or Master Asia. To prove Master Asia is epic, he punched Jesus Yamato in the face. Done and done.

Okay, I'm sick and tired of the Kira Yamato responses as an epic Gundam pilot. If anything, him targeting limbs attempting to disarm mobile suits actually REMOVES the epic title because it shows his immaturity to just accept war as an inevitable truth. Just because you disarm an enemy doesn't stop him from getting another weapon and continuing the fight. Kira was a little more epic early Seed because he was fighting off four relatively equal Gundams on a consistent basis with the Strike, which is only a little stronger than the other four due to versatility. I can't forgive him for hijacking Seed Destiny as it is.

I will say that this hard for me to pick a particular Gundam pilot and crown him as the most epic when there's so many. I have a personal bias towards Heero, but I acknowledge that he may not be the most epic. Let's see...
-Garrod Ran fought in a series full of NewTypes without being one himself...and WON
-Domon Kasshu practically screams epic just because he's practically an SR pilot
-Heero Yuy is epic because he doesn't rely on his Gundam, but has demonstrated his vast skills in other MSs and outside of MSs as well
-Amuro PUSHED BACK AXIS through Psycoframe resonance
-Kamille IS POWERED BY THE SOULS OF THE DEAD
-Judau ONE UPS KAMILLE
-Uso Evin was talented and imaginative with a beam saber, had grown women lusting over him, despite being 13, AND destroyed Angel's Halo with his awesome Wings of Light
-Tobia and Kincaid are freakin' pirates and that's 'nuff said
-Loran piloted the strongest Gundam in existence, the Turn A Gundam, AND DIDN'T KILL ANYONE THE ENTIRE TIME
I can't think of anything for Setsuna at the moment. To reiterate on Loran's point, not only did he not kill anyone while piloting the strongest Gundam in existence, he did it while not being a whiny emo bitch or retarded. You may bring up Gym, but that's more of Gym's stupidity and Loran ran away anyway. So can we stop saying Kira "PLOT ARMOR HAX" Yamato? Besides, Athrun kicked his ass in the Strike v Aegis fight, which was the most equal fight I can think of. By all means, Kira should've died there. Unfortunately, Lowe saved his ass. That is the only act of Lowe that I despise...

That's why I say Personal Trooper pilots are the best. All of them are badass, even a noname faceless character gets his chance to be badass.

Graham Acre. Well, technically, I don't think his machine was considered a gundam, but he was sexy nevertheless. I sort of felt that Kira lost it in destiny. He just didn't feel all that awesome like he was in seed.

Lyle Dylandy was awesome in the movie with his beam spam fest.

Heero Yuy, I loved Gundam Wing.

Domon Kasshu the King of Hearts.
That went undefeated in the Gundam Finals with his God Gundam.
Defeated his own master with a very touching moment and proposed to his beloved childhood friend Rain and with the power of "LOVE" he and Rain defeat the Gundam devil.

His battle cry also never goes old.
