New ANIME SUGGESTION LIST

I rather use webm here than gifs on imgur. I'll ask Jacob for the possibility of embedded webms.

New idea how to showcase them.

The story centers on Koyomi Araragi, a third year high school student who has recently survived a vampire attack, and finds himself mixed up with all kinds of apparitions: gods, ghosts, myths, and spirits.

Images were taken from TVdb. You could use your own images. I went with the easiest route. Fonts used: Open Sans and ProggytinySZ.

I really like this layout, I think I'm going to give it a go. It'll take a while to do it with every series but presentation wise it will look great. Gj m8.

If I do go with this design, however, it will probably have to be A-Z. What do people think about that? Unless, like Ryssen suggest before, I list them by dominant genre and just list the other genres alongside.

Hunter x Hunter (2011)

Genre- Action, Adventure, Shounen, Super Power
Producer- Madhouse
Episodes- 135-ongoing

Don't be fooled by it's looks, not so typical shonen anime, Togashi certainly went full ham with this series. So much character development with this protagonist, he isn't some hotshot badass who immediately scales with the most powerful villain in the show, it's more about him trying to find his dad who has left him as a child, since his dad is a badass hunter who can keep himself from being found by most hunters.

The fights are based on tactics more than overpowering your enemy(has a gap at some point), many of the characters have build up and become very likable, almost can't predict what's going to happen next, the author certainly liked to troll people.

The few things that I loved about this show.
-No Filler
-Amazing story
-Complex and usually balanced powers
-When characters aren't relevant they stay that way.
-The amount of violence is to my liking
-Feels :<
-Pretty animations :3

I kinda like it though. I might just do it as that for now, and if I think of a better alternative I'll just edit it in. It's probably best to just get everything listed for now. I'll wait until the layout is decided in the poll first though.

The video format that ammy and freaky like using and has embedded support on several sites (4chan included).

You can encode any regular video file to webm. Its visually superior with a smaller file size (compared to gif with same data) and, depending on who you ask, easier to make than a gif. The file size part I'm not 100% on.

Those images are jpgs. And yea webms are really just gifs but much better and with audio.

Nah I think it's easier to make webms. All you need is a code and ffmpeg. There's even gui called webms for retards. And you're correct about the size part. You get longer and better looking videos with webm compard to gif.

Time should be written as hours:minutes:seconds.
Change -b:v according to the outcome of your video.

Or use Webms for retards. It's the same thing but with a gui.

Update: I am in the process of getting the series and information for the series down first before making the list more presentable.

GREAT concept with massive caps, with a good main cast. Although I didn't like the villain, he was too nuts and not as fleshed out as, like, Age's father. It's worth watching for the concept alone.

Not sure if proposed here, but I give it anyway.
Detroit Metal City:
The hilarious story of a young guy named Negishi who want to do Swedish Pop for a living but end up being the infamous star of a death metal band: Krauser II of Detroit Metal City (also called DMC).
That's already bad for Negishi, added with his love for a girl... Who HATES DMC!
This anime is pure insanity and fun. Krauser being the best part as the persona literally take possession of Negishi at times (and mostly at the worst moment).

Ok, this is an old anime and was reviewed by Ben_the_Sage, but if you want some good old ULTRAVIOLENCE, this anime is for you.
Based on a cancelled manga by Tony Takezaki (who also made Bubblegum Crisis) and expanding on it's universe, it's definitely interesting to watch at least once.
oh, and it's 13+ in USA. WTF USA.

Update: So in the information section I will be including: alternative name, whether it is a series, movie or OVA, which will also include the number of episodes (if a series/OVA) or duration (movie), the company responsible for production, the season and year the anime came out, and genre.

If any of the information I have been listing on the suggestion list is incorrect, please let me know either in this thread or by PM (e.g. the year the anime came out is listed wrong, or a genre should be added/omitted).

After today I will be away for a few days as I am going to various events, but when I come back I hope to have the information completed, after which I can move onto images and links/descriptions etc. Though if you know me enough by now I usually don't get things done on time (like the manga masterlist; soon). It'll be done when it's done.

Unfortunately, the list will have to remain unspoilered as it messes up and stuff disappears.

Trying to make it appear. Fixed it. I had to change the last lines to bbcode. Also changed the size of the images slightly and change some colors to blend with the background. Now you can spoil it if you want.
Question: should the title link to MAL or could we add it next to the amount of episodes? Plus any other site of interest. I dunno maybe I'm just making it more complicated. I just like the title being black, that's all.

As for MAL/Synopsis, I haven't thought about that much yet. I like it black too but wouldn't be bothered if the title was the link. Although I'm pretty sure you can change the colour of the font on a link, it'll still have the underline though.
