New Code Geass Project announced!

I have a feeling this will involve the next generation of characters(their children).

Whichever way it goes, it's on my "I'll watch this no matter what happens" list.

Even if lelouch is truly dead they can always pull the "Gundam00lockonhasatwin?" stunt and say lelouch had a long lost brother or got cloned blah blah blah. Atleast this way the animators save time and they wouldn't have to change voiceactors.

You should have just left this alone as I did instead of simply egging people on which is what you did. You've been in the code geass thread in the anime section long enough to know better. It's like talking to a religious person about their beliefs as I see it. I compared this to a religion because people seem to be content with debating aspects of it like it is one.

I do not believe that Lelouch is dead. The story for me is open enough no matter what someone says for me to think what I want. I mean it's an anime after all.

For me and others Lelouch is alive. Let people think what they want or at least do it without blatantly insulting people. I'm no shining example of kindness, but this is truly a horse that has been beaten dead more then enough.

I won't be replying to anything else in this thread if it's about Lelouch dead or not.

If he isn't dead, he should be. Not that I don't like him, it is just that the story seems more powerful if it ends with him dead. But if it turns out he wasn't and they explain it in a way that isn't silly or over the top, I'll be okay with that too.

I am just interested to learn at what point in thime this story is taking place. Like a 5 year period thing that some animes do, where they give the characters just enought time to get married and have kids. Or is it a distant future where we will only see the ramifications of the first too seasons, or maybe a near future where people haven't really moved on and seperated from the events of the ending of season 2.

All this bickering, and for what? This "new step" could be a cell phone game, for all we know. That's what I'm expecting, really - something simple and lame that won't enhance the series.

Except there's nothing to debate. Lelouch is dead. The funny thing about your religion analogy is that religion MIGHT be fictitious, or it might not be. Code Geass IS fictitious, so the creators are the Gods of said fiction. And the Gods have said Lelouch is dead.


You mentioned it, so don't think you're innocent, saying "That's debatable" then saying "I do not want to turn this into a "Lelouch dead or alive" thread".

Impossible. That would mean for me to be apathetic towards the future of the main Code Geass storyline. The more people who want an R3 with Lelouch alive, the higher probability it will happen. And Sunrise can hardly treat Gundam well enough, so my confidence in them capably retconning Lelouch to be alive is pretty damn low.

I for once hope to see more about C.C and the origin of the Geass, since you haven't gotten to know very much about it imo.

Dammit, I fear that it'll be like a new Gundam SEED Destiny. First everything is nice, some internal behind-the-lines fighting, then someone suddenly turns against everybody else, and in the end the plot is almost the same but with a much more shallow story and some new, horrible (f&kn Shin) characters.

About Lelouche, I really can't imagine what will happend without him, but since he had such an epic end, I hope he's dead, or it would ruin his valiant rep for me.

Well, those are the first images of it I've seen so far. I'm glad that Takuma is doing the art. Looks like Suzaku will finally get his own geass. I had actually thought that it might have been a different CC, but it looks like the same one.


Judging from gg's images of the manga, it has previous incarnations of Lelouch and Suzaku's souls. There's also a decent (though not great) chance that we'll learn the origins of geass and CC's name.

There doesn't seem to be an R3. But lets hope it does cause I don't want it set in fucking feudal Japan thank you very much.
