One Piece and Naruto

One piece is my favorite anime, 400+ episodes it still doesn't get boring

ok did you see superbad? the movie was great until the end >.> that ruined the movie for me. this particular episode killed the series for me... i stoped watching it because afterwards was a bunch of fillers. i never came around to watching the rest so i just gave up on naruto... i heard it gets good but meh i could care less

Im wondering why that episode was "full of gayness".

Too bad, because it's really picked up since then. A new war has begun. And I really mean, a WAR.

It is just Naruto following One Piece,Seeing how One Piece become sudden hits with a WAR.

You do realise that Bleach's "Winter War" was going on at around the same time too? Everyone is copying OP apparently.

Since you made the claim, back it up with the dates of when all three wars was announced in the respective series and we'll have a look if there was enough time to rewrite the entire comming plot structure of Naruto and Bleach just to copy One piece.

Well, I don't know of whatever war happens in One Piece, but in my opinion, at least Naruto's Fourth Shinobi World War can actually be called a real war, especially given the many tactics and "politics" behind it. Bleach's Winter War...would that count? I only saw it as a series of huge fights.

i had my boy spoil it for me and hey man, it sounds very interesting. i'm not saying it sucks. it's just that it's been SO long since i stoped watching the series that i just simply lost interest. i just recently started watching one piece cuz my boy convinced me and a lot of the new shit sucks.. unless it's ero shit =D OP has more elements naruto didn't have as far as diversity. (for me anyway) i like how OP covers so many different types of cultures. meh just my 2 cents

There are black ninjas and asian ninjas and white ninjas and green/grey/rainbow ninjas in Naruto, that makes it diverse no? Jokes aside, I feel like one piece has its good characters and all, but I just find it boring to read. Its too roundabout and Luffy is a far bigger idiot than Naruto.

I really don't care if you think Naruto sucks balls or not, im asking you to describe the "gayness" that was allegedly present in the fight at the end of part 1 cuz im curious.

The Sasuke vs Naruto one at the Valley of the End? He probably thought the overload of testosterone and overly "bromantic" moments made it seem gay. What I think, at least.

Other than that, it was still one of the best fights of the series.

Well, I don't consider Bleach Winter war Arc as a war. It is just some group of Good Guy slapping all the bad guy. (The number of good guy not even reach 100)

The idea of 4th great ninja war by Madara is stated on the chapter 467 which is just around October 2009.
In One Piece the first idea was stated in chapter 501 (around May 2008) and later confirmed in chapter 504 by Flamingo (June 2008). The war started in chapter 550 (July 2009). SO that is enough time for Kishimoto to at least get another inspiration from One Piece.

And if you still insist that Bleach's Winter War Arc as a war. Fine, WInter War Arc started around early 2007. And there is this 41st Tankoubon in One Piece titled Declaration of War which was released in early 2006. (But I don't really consider both of them as the actual war)



And about Naruto, apart from Madara or Sasuke. EVen if there was this awesome bad guy meet ultra-normal good guy. The Good Guy would end up Win nonetheless. SO predictable.

Someone will have to provide a pic of that or something, cuz i can't remember any of that.

Also, OP's "war" can't really be considered a war, it was more of a big brawl that lasted a couple of hours tops.
The war in Naruto is the only one of the three where it actually looks like some kind of war on a grand scale.



No, the prophecy of "The Destined Child" who will bring either ruin or peace to the ninja world through a great war/revolution was first mentioned back in chapter 376, released Oct 30, 2007, which have lead us to the point where we're at today with the fourth shinobi world war and Naruto being the child from said prophecy.
And it's not like this is the first war we've seen in Naruto, we've had flashback chapters/arcs of both the third world war and the Rain village civil war, as well as glimpses of the second WW.

The idea of showing a war did not start with One Piece.



One Piece is ripping off Bleach, im calling it.

The only time people die in One Piece, with the exception of Ace, is in flashbacks to establish someones oh-so tragic past.
Other than that toon force rules the OPverse, people never die, even if a minor A-bomb detonates in their face.

I like how you call other series predictable when One Piece follows the exact same shounen formula of the good guy always overcomming the bad guy in the end, OP is not diffrent from Naruto in the least in terms of good guy-death ratio, in fact, it's trailing way behind.

You might also take a look at a good portion of OP part 1's story structure, i'll break it down for you.

good for Naruto thanks to Kabuto that he can create the new-oh-so-awesome character out of thin air with no real connection with the past story, while in One Piece, there is no such new character when the war started.
Actually, if desirable, Moria can't just bring another deadbody of awesome character like Roger,and other legend. But that will makes the story less awesome, right ?



That idea is still about Pein and his little group of 9 doing a revolution. n One Piece, on Enies Lobby arc the same is actually happen, a little group of Pirate declaring war to the world Government (unless Luffy have a little more backup as in Akatsuki there are only a handful of people VS the worlds)




I have yet to read it, so I can't comment on it. Unless by the list of the people, that people above eventhough now their role as a bad guy,they used to be part of good guys. If they are easily slapped by other supernormal good guy, many fans will rage, doesn't it ?
What about Ginkaku and his brother together with their 4 awesome treasure but was badly beaten by this new black guy from Iwagakure(if i'm not mistaken)

What does the Edo Tensei have to do with the scale of the war, or the segment you quoted in general? Kabuto summoning a few old and new characters doesn't change the fact that the war in Naruto is the only one of the three that actually resembles a war. And you say there wasn't any new characters introduced when the OP war started? I guess so, if you don't count like 10 pirate crews we've never seen or heard of before (not counting all the ships of pirate fodder), even though they're strong enough to stand their ground against both Shichibukai and Admirals alike.



It can be about Pain planting flowers on his rooftop for all i care, what Pain and Akatsuki was doing at that time is irrelevant to the big picture.
The point i was making was that the war was already foreshadowed back in 2007, which means that your theory about Naruto copying OP's war doesn't hold up.

What about it? A good guy beat a bad guy, it's the shounen formula. The good guys will always win in the end, despite ocasional set backs and losses.
Do you want me to bring up a list where the Strawhat crew beats opponents that should be way out of their league? I don't even know what point you're trying to make here.

Always win? You do realise you can say pretty much the same about every the good guys in every shounen ever made.
Apart from a few losses they will win the majority of their battles, wether it's by some clever tactic, deus ex machina or unexplained power up's.

Naruto got beaten up by, going by memory, Orochimaru, Kimmimaro and Sasuke.
The Third Hokage got killed in his battle with Orochimaru
Gaara got bitch slapped by Deidara.
Jiraya got killed in his fight against Pain
Sasuke lost against Haku, Gaara, Itachi, and got his ass handed to him by Raikage and Mizukage.
Asuma got killed By Hidan
Several characters lost against Pain during his rampage through Konoha, can't be arsed to name them all.

The list goes on, but i don't see the point in continuing it, you should get the idea.



Im not bias, overall i like One Piece way more than Naruto. But what i don't like is people who can't think for themselves and just jumps on the nearest bandwagon full of whine and hate for things that are popular, even though they know next to nothing about the thing in general.



I was considering leaving this be and just go play some Dead island instead, but your post had so much red herring and dumb statments that made no sense in it that i couldn't.
