Was initially a fan episode 1. Thought the show could actually be good and bothered watching to episode 12. Quickly was disappointed immediately thereafter. Show fails as both a comedy and slice of life.
What I expected was a show with a decent message about societal pressures that anime and eroge fans are put under. What we actually got was a washed up fantasy featuring some of the most poorly developed, unrealistic, and outright offensive characters I've ever seen in something that pretended to be a slice of life.
Of course, I do mainly mean Kirino is the single worst thing about the show. Her behavior is inexcusable period, and just totally offensive to the reputation of other people who have hobby collections as well as interests in eroge and just anime fans in general. Never once does she show any sign of caring for anyone besides herself.

You are expecting the show to be what it is not.
To each to his/her own. I like the show and Kirino, or for that matter, the entire cast, even Ayane.

A teenage girl like sister eroge, tsun tsun hate to brother, dash of incestuous feelings, two big tit minor characters with one hot dark, goth loli(oh god yes) with otakuness we are related too(weebs are weebs). Same as the manga/light novel/erogames/fan fiction/doujin/dude fapping away to ruri picture or humping his ruri love pillow... i said too much.

Well, my prediction isn't really a prediction, since I know what will happen based on the light novel series. I think they will end with that and continue from that point on if they ever make second season.

Lol, I hope they do end it at a good point. Zero no Tsukaima is one good example from point to point. (Except for the fact that there is no 4th season, so basically the anime company just fucked us over with that major cliffhanger.)

I like it. Wish they'd show more of Ayase's yandereness and make Kirino like how she is in the manga but I digress.

ive never actuly seen the ovas, just the sereis, and no the true ending either while kuroneko may be my favriot i still like kirrino. and my heart breaks at the though f her leaving

Ahaha. I was kinda sad since the main attraction(Kirino) of the show is in America for track and field, but the kouhai fights and Kuroneko made up for that. :D

As a slice of life, it's horrible because the premise and interactions are utterly unrealistic and offensive. As a comedy, it's still bad because the show goes through a lot of effort to appear serious about their ridiculous premises. If what they were trying to accomplish was pointless drama, they did an awfully good job of it. And they shouldn't be proud of that.
This would have been a much better show if Kirino was portrayed to be an antagonist, since in virtually every way besides what the show wants you to believe, she perfectly fits the qualities of your typical antagonist. She is mean spirited, selfish, conniving, stubborn, and abusive to others around her, especially her brother, and she never shows any sign of really wanting to change that.

Kirino add's a feeling that you can't denied. You wanta choke her to dead, you want her brother just rape her, but you feel something for the series even if you hate Kirino.
