Pokémon Adventures!

I don't see a manga discussion for this so here it is.

If you don't know yet, there's a big difference bewteen the anime and the manga. While the anime is aim for younger kids, the manga is for mostly teenagers, since characters and Pokemon died in the series already (What Pokemon and death! @_@)

There's currently 8 chapters

Red, Green & Blue Chapter
Yellow Chapter
Gold, Silver & Crystal chapter
Ruby & Sapphire chapter
FireRed & LeafGreen chapter
Emerald chapter
Diamond & Pearl chapter
Platinum chapter (confirmed?)

Latest chapter is at Manga Fox which is Vol.31 Ch.353: VS. Abra and Croagunk II

Wow they translate fast. I'm still on volume 27 for the mandarin version.

Fire red/Leaf Green and Emerald chapter were my favorites

The only Pokemon manga I've read are "Electric Pikachu Boogaloo" if that counts, and the "Red" version of "Best of Pokemon Adventures."

Started reading it, need to start the yellow section. Interesting how it works (some mysteries, where do they get their food to eat 'both trainer and pokemon' and haven't seen any scene where a restroom is used). Wonder what will be the next step in the series?

Well the "Best of Pokemon Adventures" mostly put the best of the Red's adventure.



Death, there's actually part of manga when they mention killing someone ;) You won't hear that from the anime.

They mention killing a lot and almost killed situations but people do die in the manga.

Yeah Vol. 27 is where they are stuck at, they translate slow as hell but I'm now going to reread the whole series from the beginning in English now. I pretty much stopped at the beginning of Emerald but I'm in no rush to see the gang get rescued by the other half of the dex holders. I'll start from the beginning!

I'm only up to the end of the GSC Arc. It's a very good manga though, and I don't want to get caught up only to have to wait an eternity for more chapters to be released.

Aha, once you reached the part where they get rescued, is where the epic shit starts happening. I wonder why the anime can't be like the manga xD



You should start catching up again, the release has been consistent for 2 months straight now xD

This is a series I definitely want to read but haven't found the time for it yet. Man, it'll be a weird experience. I barely remember the Pokemon from Red and Blue, I know some from the next two series, and from then on, I know nothing of the Pokemon or story.

Wait, most of that's uploaded on mangafox is the singapore translated version am I correct? If it is, I did not realize how badly they translated some of the stuff. And seriously...why read left to right!? Freaking Uknown parts are flipped in mirror view and I can't help but facepalm. (I know the RGBY series is prob. the American translated ones, GSC seems to be the Singapore one so far.)

Anyways it's still enjoyable to read I suppose. GSC is prob. my fav. of the series but FRLG is not bad as well. I'm not really a fan of DPP yet but when I get there I might get into it. I hope the Author makes a HGSS series and does a funny explanation of how Natsume changes dressing style so dramatically. (Such as hanging around with Blue too much and she tries to feminize her more, o-o) Also his version as to how Crystal changes clothing attire to Mario's. I imagine same hairstyle but clothing is that of the new one...still think old silver looks cool while the new silver's hairstyle makes him look silly and not too serious. Also they may answer the question of that crazy women and is Giovanni truly alive.

Crystal/Kris is different to the girl in HGSS, that girl is name Kotone.

Lol I'm pretty sure the author would just keep it the same character. I mean he did keep Blue as the same girl when FRLG came out. I mean Crystal and Kotone are similar enough.

Well Blue/Green is suppose to be the girl from the FR/LG version.

Yes and what makes it any different from Crystal and Kotone? It's the same series so they can keep it as the same girl. Taking GSC and using it for HGSS should be no different then RGB and bringing it to FRLG. Crystal <-> Kotone, Blue <-> Leaf

Look at the carefully, the only difference is the hair colour (which was brownish when you play the game)

the only difference was the hair color again.

Now look at Kris/Crystal/Kotone, the design is complete different and it'll be hard to just say it's crystal. Blue and the FR/LG girl is exactly the same design, so the writers just made it to look that Blue change her clothing style, but you can say the same thing to Crystal and Kotone .
unless the writer complete erase Crystal from the series or say that she went on extreme makeover edition or they will introduce Kotone as a new character.

Yeah I still say he's going to keep it the same character. It's not that drastic, her twin ear things are just smoothened out more. If you want drastic remember HGSS Natsume. Now that is a complete change in character design which totally does not fit her personality at all.

Lmao I love the picture of her though, first time she showed some skin in the anime xD

Know I remember why I love the GSC adventures, when red was healing on the spring, Natsume was there too *drools*
